In a recent interaction, Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke about her second marriage to Raj Nidimoru after an ugly separation from Naga Chaitanya.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s second marriage to Raj Nidimoru came as a surprise to her fans. The actress was speculated to be dating Raj, but never confirmed anything about the same. It was on December 1, 2025, when shared the news of her intimate wedding with Raj at the Linga Bhairavi abode in Sadhguru’s Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. Now, she spoke about getting married to Raj after her bitter divorce from Naga Chaitanya.
In a recent Vogue India interview, Samantha Ruth Prabhu spoke about her marriage to Raj Nidimoru and how healing made her a better person. Speaking about her separation from Naga Chaitanya, she stated:
“I went through a separation, I closed up completely. I didn’t think it would ever be possible to rely on someone else. Thankfully, I was vulnerable enough to accept that kind of love and friendship. And I’m a much better person because of the relationship I’m in. Because of the person Raj (Nidimoru) is.”
In the same interaction, Samantha also spoke about her transformation and stated that stated that healing from her past relationship helped her a lot to become a better version of herself. Revealing how people close to her could see the transformation she underwent, Samantha continued:
“I met an old friend a few days ago and she sent me a voice note afterwards saying, ‘This is the first time in a long time that I feel like you’re not struggling to breathe.’ I’m not performing anymore."
Samantha met Chaitanya during the filming of their debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave. During the course of the shooting, the two had struck a great friendship. Their friendship soon turned into love, and they began their forever journey on October 6, 2017, in a destination wedding in Goa as per both Hindu and Christian rituals.
When everything seemed amazing in Samantha and Chaitanya’s married life, the couple shocked their fans by announcing their separation. Days before their fourth wedding anniversary, Samantha and Chaitanya issued an official statement about the split, shattering the hearts of their fans.
There were a lot of theories and rumours regarding Samantha and Chaitanya’s separation. One of them was her bold roles and item numbers. Her s*x scene in The Family Man 2 added more tension in the relationship. According to an inside source, Naga Chaitanya and his father, Nagarjuna, weren’t too pleased with Samantha’s skin show on screen after marriage. The family tried to voice their opinion to Samantha, but she refused to give in to their patriarchal mentality.
After Samantha’s split from Chaitanya, she faced a really difficult time. It was at that moment that she met Raj Nidimoru, who offered her the show, The Family Man 2. Slowly, the duo became friends and eventually fell in love. On December 1, 2025, she announced her intimate wedding to Raj at the Linga Bhairavi Temple at the Isha Yoga Centre.
