Australian-American model and swimwear designer Sahara Ray passed away at the young age of 34. Her family confirmed to TMZ that she passed away on October 18, 2026, in the hospital. Tragically, her untimely demise occurred just a few months after she became a mother to a beautiful baby girl. Amid the model's sudden death, her former roommates' allegations against her have surfaced.

Sahara Ray's former roommate once accused the model of behaving erratically

Sahara Ray was using drugs years before her sudden death. The news surfaced amid speculation that an overdose was the reason for her death. However, amid that, her former roommate's claims that she was taking Xanax without a prescription and behaving erratically have resurfaced. While there is no verified information alleging that the model was using substances, the report has created an intense buzz.

According to the court documents obtained by the media outlet, Sahara Ray's former roommate, Chloe Spence, has filed a restraining order against the model after things got physical between them. The document, which cites an incident from June 2024, alleged that the model was taking unprescribed substances and had been in an "intoxicated delusional state" on more than one occasion.

Chloe Spence claimed things turned physical during an April 2024 incident, alleging Sahara tried to physically hurt her. The former roommate asserted that Sahara Ray charged at her, grabbed her face and dug her nails into her skin, leaving a cut and a scar beneath her left eyebrow. She also reported that the model had made some unsettling remarks that left her fearing for her safety.

While the accusations made by Chloe Spence were serious, the restraining order request was ultimately dismissed after neither party appeared in court for a hearing on the matter. According to sources close to the situation, the model had mended things with her ex-roommate outside court. They had resolved their differences after the restraining order petition was filed, and Chloe was even on Sahara's side when she died.

Talking about Sahara Ray's sudden death, she died on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 34, with her family telling the media outlet that she was surrounded by loved ones at the hospital. The news of her death left everyone shocked, as it was only in January 2026 that the model welcomed her daughter, Snow Ray. Her Instagram profile showed that she was a doting mother and loved her baby girl.

Sahara's last social media post was also dedicated to the little princess. While there is no confirmation of how Sahara Ray ended up on life support before her family pulled the plug, the official cause of death has not been confirmed. There's no established connection between the alleged drug use in 2024 and her death. Amid this, her battle with a health condition has also surfaced.

In 2024, Sahara Ray opened up about her battle with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves. The condition had already progressed, leaving her partially paralyzed following a serious car accident. Despite her condition, she had found a way to live her life to the fullest, even welcoming her first child just months before her death.
