Ronaldo captioned the post “C [red heart emoji] G”, seemingly keeping the announcement as intimate as the ceremony itself.
The couple reportedly married in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal, with their five children present.
Unlike many celebrity weddings, Ronaldo and Rodriguez chose to keep their big day away from the usual spectacle. Their first official wedding picture shows the couple's hands intertwined, with their wedding bands clearly visible, and it was enough to send the football icon's global fans into celebration mode.
Broadcaster Piers Morgan, a longtime friend of Ronaldo, also appeared to share a glimpse of the newlyweds' wedding celebrations, but it can't be confirmed whether it is the actual photo from the ceremony or AI-generated. In the image shared on his X and Instagram accounts, Rodriguez wore a flowing white wedding gown with a long veil, while Ronaldo opted for a white tuxedo jacket with contrasting black lapels, a black bow tie and black trousers. The newlyweds sat together, flaunting their wedding rings to the camera.
Sharing the photo, Morgan left a heartfelt note for the couple, writing, "Congrats to my friends @Cristiano & Georgina on their wedding today in Portugal! They’re a great couple, and I wish them a long and happy marriage together. Parabéns!"
After the photo surfaced, many have expressed their doubts about whether it is real, given that Georgina appeared to be wearing a long-sleeved gown in the photo that they shared on their profiles.
