RJ Mahvash finally opened up about Yuzvendra Chahal after unfollowing him on Instagram and talked about the relationship buzz.
RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal's names were linked together in the past. But a few months ago, reports claimed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram, and RJ Mahvash's cryptic posts hinted that she might be taking a dig at Yuzvendra. Now, she finally dismissed the buzz around her relationship with Yuzvendra.
Social media influencer, RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal were in the headlines after fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Now, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Mahvash was questioned about the reason for unfollowing Yuzvendra Chahal and if their relationship had hit a rough patch. Rj Mahvash replied that it happens between friends and they often go through such a phase of disagreements, which is not a big deal. She said:
"Friends ke beech follow-unfollow ka drama hota rehta hai, it’s not a big deal."
Mahavash further added that she doesn't believe in keeping negativity for anyone, and people should move forward peacefully. She was further questioned about her friendship turning into a romantic relationship, and she clearly denied the buzz. She stated that Yuzvendra was going through a tough phase at the time of his divorce. He had himself stated that he had a lot of suicidal thoughts, and due to which she supported him as a friend. She was quoted as saying:
"Us samay woh tough phase se guzar rahe the, jaisa ki unhone v bataya ki suicidal thoughts wgereh the aur maine sirf ek achhe dost ki tarah support kiya."
RJ Mahvash's one Instagram reel went viral after Yuzvendra was spotted with Shefali Bagga. In the clip, Mahvash was heard expressing how she has decided to end all connections with people who cannot fix themselves. Her video started by mentioning that her 'fix it' behaviour for everyone is dead in 2026. She added that, due to one mistake, the person is no longer in her life. She was quoted as saying:
"2026 Mera fix it behaviour sabke marr chuka hai. Tumne ek ghatiya harkat kari, and you are out of my life. Ab na kisi or aur ki kharab personality par work karne ki body mein himmat hi nahi bachi hai. Mere dimag ka jo akhiri percent functional hissa bacha hai use ab mai tumhe theek karne mein nahi laga sakti. Meri mental health bhi toh dekhni hai. Arey mujhse galti se hogaya I didn't mean to, haan theek hai aage se left. Or mujhe janna bhi nai hai vo tumne kyo kara, mai tumhare sath kisi tarah ka sach ka samna or kaun banega crorepati nahi khel paugi. I still wish food on your table but you are not sitting on my table."
RJ Mahvash is a Delhi-based radio jockey who graduated from A.J.K. Mass Communication Research Centre, which was also attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Barkha Dutt, and Kabir Khan, among others. The 24-year-old’s unmatched skill when it comes to using her voice quickly established her as a powerhouse in the world of radio. Soon, though, Mahvash expanded her horizons to social media, becoming India’s first female prankster with videos garnering millions of views.
As Mahvash’s popularity skyrocketed, she was approached with bigger projects, including Bigg Boss 14, Bollywood movies, and Netflix series. However, the inspiring RJ had different plans for herself, and making a small or big screen debut didn’t quite fit into them at the moment. Mahvash currently boasts a massive fan following of 1.4 million followers on Instagram.
