Rio 2016 Bronze Medallist Sakshi Malik Is All Set To Get Married This Year

After making the country proud and winning billions of hearts by bagging the first medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Sakshi Malik is all set to tie the knot by the end of this year.

In an interview with a leading Bengali daily, the wrestler herself confessed that she has given her heart to a fellow wrestler and will take the wedding vows this year.

Although this pretty wrestler did not reveal the name of the lucky guy, she has said a lot about him.

Here’s what Sakshi told the reporter:

"I am going to get married this year. However, I can't reveal the name of my would-be husband. That's a secret. He is wrestler."

On being asked if she would continue her wrestling career even after marriage, she said:

"He is very supportive. He sees my dream as his own. I will get a friend after marriage. He will help in my preparation as well. I firmly believe that after marriage I will have no problem in pursuing my sport.”

For all those who are living under a rock for quite some time now, Sakshi is a Haryana girl and the first Indian female wrestler who won a medal at the Rio Olympics 2016. This Haryanwi chori bagged bronze medal in the 58kg category.

After defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Aisuluu Tynybekova with an outstanding score of 8-5 score in an electrifying match, Sakshi became the first Indian female wrestler to achieve a medal at the Olympics medal 2016.
