Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 2023 film, Animal has carved a space in the hearts of the cine-lovers. While the movie has received a mixed reaction from the audience, it did its magic at the box office and garnered much attention. Ranbir Kapoor's role in the movie was highly praised, on the other hand, Bobby Deol also grabbed a lot of attention for his role in the movie. Although Bobby's role in Animal was for a short span of time, his entry song, Jamal Kudu sent everyone into a frenzy. However, recently, a video of a legendary actress surfaced online, wherein she can be seen doing some steps similar to Bobby's in Jamal Kudu, and now the internet is going gaga over the same.
Recently, a fan page of Rekha posted a clip from the diva's 1988 movie, Biwi Hai To Aisi. In the video, Rekha can be seen looking gorgeous in a green-hued silk salwar suit. A galm touch of makeup, open hair, and ample jewels added stars to her look. However, the video featured the actress doing the hook steps of Jamal Kudu by keeping a glass over her head. However, as soon as the video went viral, netizens rushed to the comment section and heaped praise on the actress.

It was last year when Jamal Kudu became a trend, and everyone was busy recreating the hook steps by keeping glass on their head. Talking about the same, in an interview with Bollywood Spy, Bobby shared that Sandeep Reddy Vanga let him listen to the song beforehand and told him that he would play the song in his introduction.
Bobby mentioned that when he was accompanied by the choreographer, the latter asked him to dance on his own and with his own style. Sharing more about the same, Bobby added that suddenly, a memory struck his head, and he recalled how he, along with his friends, used to dance during their childhood by getting drunk and keeping a glass over their heads. Bobby mentioned that this was the real inspiration behind his hook steps in Jamal Kudu.

The song Jamal Kudu was a massive success among the audience, and it took quite a lot of time for people to get over its aura. For those who don't know, Jamal Kudu is actually an Iranian folk song that was composed by Iran's Hazareh Group, and it is an adaptation of a poem written by Iranian poet, Bijan Smander. In Animal, the song was presented as a choir, and the voices behind this masterpiece were Mumtaz's niece, Shahnaaz, Shabina, Abhikya, Aishwarya, and Meghna Naidu, among others. The meaning of this Iranian folk song is:
"Oh my darling, don't play with my heart, you are leaving and I am going crazy."
