In a candid conversation, Ravichandran Ashwin's darling wife, Prithi Narayanan revealed their love story and also shared some cute anecdotes from the duo's marital bliss with their daughters.
Indian cricket team's all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin has been married to the love of his life, Prithi Narayanan since 2011. They are blessed with two beautiful daughter, Akhira and Aadhya, and altogether, the family of four lives in West Mambalam, Chennai. Now, Prithi opened up about cutesy details from her married life with Ashwin. Moreover, she shared the couple's love story from their early days of romance and friendship.
During a recent interaction on Match Center Live’s ‘Hangout’ on JioCinema, with former tennis player, Sania Mirza, cricketer, Veda Krishnamurthy, and comedian, Danish Sait, Ravichandran Ashwin's darling wife, Prithi Narayanan shared various anecdotes from their marital life. She was asked to reveal who starts a fight every day. To this, Prithi mentioned that it is generally Ashwin who fights with her constantly. However, she also admitted that the cricketer never forgets to admit this fault. In her words:
“He fought this morning also. He was calling me funny names and then suddenly it stopped being funny. However, he is also quick to apologise.”

Further, Prithi revealed that her husband is quick enough to get ready and they are both super punctual. However, she shared that it only happens when Ashwin starts getting ready. Following this, Prithi talked about the parenting duties she and her cricketer hubby, Ashwin perform with their cute little munchkins. She mentioned about being 90 per cent of the time stricter with the kids. She also mentioned it is usually her only who pacifies their daughter. But Akhira and Aadhya's father, Ashwin gives them a “free pass” when they start crying. Prithi shared:
“Now, it’s okay. It’s a process. Now they (daughters) do miss Ashwin, earlier they wouldn’t even miss him. During regular school days, they are in bed by 7:30-7:45 pm, and wake up by 6 am.”
During the interaction, Prithi recalled their school days and mentioned that she and Ashwin went to the same school together. And the cricketer had a huge crush on her, which the entire school knew about. However, it was only when that they grew up they got introduced to each other. Prithi added:
"We went to the same middle school together. That's how we got introduced to each other. But then, we grew up and met as adults again. I was working at an event company. He had a massive crush on me, and the whole school knew it… He moved schools to pursue cricket and we were in touch on and off, birthdays, neighbourhood, like that. I met him again when I was handling CSK’s account and suddenly I saw him as a six-footer. We knew each other from Grade 7.”

Further, Prithi talked about how one day Ashwin had taken her to the cricket ground and popped the million-dollar question of getting married in a very straightforward way. Prithi shared that Ashwin told her about his liking, which hadn't changed over the years and proposed to her for marriage. She revealed:
“Once, he took me to a cricket ground and he’s a straight shooter. He said, ‘I’ve kinda liked you all my life and it hasn’t changed over 10 years. We’re adults and let’s try this’.”
