Rashmika and Vijay have been in a relationship for several years now. While they kept things under wraps, recently, Rashmika took to her social media handle and confirmed her relationship and her upcoming wedding with Vijay, which will take place in Udaipur. Amid Rashmika and Vijay's wedding, her past relationship with Rakshit Shetty also started to hit the headlines. Rashmika Mandanna got engaged to Rakshit Shetty on July 3, 2017, after being together for a while. The couple met each other during shooting their film, Kirik Party. The couple became each other's friends, and eventually they fell in love and started dating. In 2017, the duo exchanged rings, and following this, in September 2018, they called it quits.
While the exact reason was not known, it was cited that Rashmika and Rakshit called off their wedding due to irreconcilable and compatibility issues between them. Well, it was during a rapid-fire round with Pinkvilla, when Rashmika was asked what she hated most about Rakshit. To this, the actress said that she hated that Rakshit is serious all the time. She called Rakshit a 'serious man'. In the same round, Rashmika was asked to choose Rakshit as either a writer or an actor. To this, Rashmika stated that she would choose Rakshit as an actor, as he had not written anything for her.
Rashmika said that Rakshit is a very good writer, but unless he would write something about her, she won't prefer him as a writer over an actor. She was also asked who is the most romantic between her and Rakshit, and she revealed that there were times when she was the most romantic and Rakshit couldn't beat her, while adding that she didn't expect him to be like this, but he's romantic too.
It seems Rakshit and Rashmika don't share any coldness between them. In an old interview, a few years ago, Rakshit praised Rashmika while adding that they were in touch. Well, it was Pramod Shetty, who, reportedly, in a recent interview, was asked if the Kirik Party team was invited to Rashmika and Vijay's wedding. To this, Pramod said that he didn't receive the invitation card, but he was sure that they won't be invited.
Along with this, Pramod shared that Rakshit won't be sitting in a corner, eating chocolate and feeling guilty, because he's not a kid anymore. Pramod further mentioned that Rakshit will rise like a phoenix. He further stated that Rakshit didn't go anywhere, and he will soon be back with his film, as this is how he functions, by going in isolation and making a calm comeback with a new movie.
