Rashmika Mandanna is all set get married to the love of her life, Vijay Deverakonda, on February 26, 2026, in Udaipur. After years of speculation, Rashmika finally confirmed her relationship and upcoming wedding with Vijay through a statement on social media. Fans are eagerly waiting for the couple's first photo as husband and wife.
Rashmika and Vijay always kept their relationship under wraps, and there have been speculations about their wedding for several months now. Well, there were rumours that several A-listers were attending the wedding soiree. But did Rashmika invite her Kirik Party co-stars? Pramod Shetty, a long-time friend and collaborator of Rakshit Shetty, the actress's ex-fiancé, revealed the truth about the same. He also revealed what Rakshit Shetty's current state is amid Rashmika and Vijay's wedding.
As per a report by One India, Pramod Shetty, in a media interaction, recently revealed that he hasn't received Rashmika's invitation yet. Pramod also stated that if he gets the invitation, he will certainly go, while mentioning that he's kind of sure that the actress won't invite them. In the same interview, Pramod also revealed that Rakshit Shetty is not a kid and he won't be sitting around in a corner and eating chocolate, while being guilty about it.
Pramod further mentioned that Rakshit will rise as a phoenix. He added that Rakshit hasn't gone anywhere, rather it's his way of writing down a film, where he goes in isolation for a while and then comes back calmly to make a movie. Sharing that Rakshit Shetty isn't in much of a hurry like others, Pramod said:
"I haven't received Rashmika's wedding invitation yet. If I get it, I'll go. We know she won’t invite us, nothing new. As for Rakshit Shetty, he’s not a kid eating chocolate and sitting around feeling guilty about it. Rakshit will rise like a phoenix. He gave a statement recently, didn’t he? He hasn’t gone anywhere. That’s how he writes his films. He takes some time, then comes back and calmly makes a movie. He isn’t in as much of a hurry as we are."
For the unversed, Rakshit Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna were engaged, but they called off their wedding, citing irreconcilable compatibility issues between them, and left their fans heartbroken. To mention, Rashmika and Rakshit met each other while filming Kirik Party, which was the actress's first project. Well, the duo spent a lot of time together and came close to each other. Later, they developed feelings and got engaged in July 2017.
In September 2018, the duo announced that they called off their wedding. Well, there was seemingly no bad blood between the duo. It was in 2023, when Rakshit, during an interview, while promoting his film, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello: Side B, said that he and Rashmika were in touch. He further stated that his ex-fiancée, Rashmika, had a big dream in the world of cinema. Rakshit also said that Rashmika has been doing everything to achieve what she dreamt of, and she has the willpower to achieve what she desires, so everyone should pat her on her back for her achievements. Rakshit could be quoted as saying:
"Yes, Rashmika and I are still in touch. She had a big dream in the world of cinema. Accordingly, she is moving towards that dream. She has the will to achieve the task she set out to do. We should pat her on the back for her achievement."
