Sidharth Shukla's death left Rashami Desai broken. In an interview, Rashami revealed that she wasn't able to fulfil her professional commitments after Sidharth's death.
Rashami Desai and Late Sidharth Shukla shared a love-hate relationship with each other. They were rumoured to be dating while shooting for the show, Dil Se Dil Tak, although the late actor had called the rumours baseless. During their stint inside the Bigg Boss 13 house, we had witnessed Sidharth and Rashami fighting with each other most of the times, and when needed, supporting each other like ‘good friends’.
When the news of Sidharth Shukla’s death had hit the headlines on September 2, 2021, the nation was left shocked. He had died due to a massive heart attack at the age of 40, and nobody could believe it at first. Soon the glamour world had started paying their tribute to the late actor, and Rashami Desai too had made an emotional tweet. She was left speechless and heartbroken and the same was seen in her tweet.

Now, in a conversation with ETimes, Rashami Desai called her relationship with Sidharth Shukla special. Sharing that she was left broken at Sidharth’s death, Rashami said, “I have experienced a lot of hard times in my life but I have never compromised my professional commitment. But this time I was seriously left broken. Sidharth was special, no doubt we fought, we had our issues but at the end of the day there was a good friendship and we cared for each other. I can say much but this time I couldn't keep going.”
When Rashami had heard about Sidharth’s sudden demise, she was supposed to promote her music video. However, she had dropped her plan. She said, “I planned to not be part of any promotional activities for the song. I am lucky that our producer Shahzeb Azad understood my situation and allowed me to grieve.”

Sidharth Shukla was often called ’40 saal ka budha’ in the reality show Bigg Boss 13. On his 40th birthday, he had taken a sly dig on his fellow contestants, Rashami Desai, Paras Chhabra, Mahira Sharma and Vishal Aditya Singh. He had tweeted, “To @TheRashamiDesai #ParasChabbra @MahiraSharma_ #VishalAdityaSingh ..... and who so ever it may concern ....I am now officially 40 saal ka ... but still not a Buddha ..(joke plz take it like one).”
Rashami Desai had taken his joke in a light manner only and had wished him in return. Rashami had replied, “Awwwww.... I knew it... you’re gonna miss me so harddd Love-you on that note wish you happy birthday. Stay blessed @sidharth_shukla.”
Talking about Rashami and Sidharth’s bond, earlier, Times Now had quoted its source as saying, “Rashami has developed a serious liking for Sidharth, and he has also been reciprocating. Only time will tell if it’s a serious relationship or not, but for the moment, they are spending a lot of time together.” But Sidharth had then dismissed the rumours and had stated, “There is no truth to this story. It’s plain gossip. It might be for the show’s promotions!”
