Punjabi singer, Karan Aujla is currently at the centre of a controversy. For the unversed, recently, Canadian rapper, Ms Gori, claimed that she and Karan were in a secret relationship even after he is married to Palak Aujla. While the Punjabi singer chose to stay away from the alleged affair controversy, it was his fan and actress, Parul Gulati, who came to his defence amid the chaos. A while ago, the Canadian rapper gave a befitting reply to her remarks.
On January 18, 2026, Ms Gori took to her Instagram handle and reshared Parul Gulati’s video where she came to the defence of the Punjabi singer, Karan Aujla, amid the affair row. Along with Parul’s clip, the Canadian rapper wrote a note. The note seemed to be a befitting reply to Parul. In the note, Ms Gori mentioned that often a woman who comes forward and speaks up gets countered. The note shared by her can be read as:
"This is why women don't speak up because people think that they can judge what they don't understand. They jump to shame, a woman for coming forward. This is actually teaching me so much about what as a community around the world we need to stand up for."
Recently, Parul took to her Instagram handle and shared a video defending Punjabi singer, Karan Aujla. In the video, the actress shared that she has been an 'Aujla paglu'. She recalled the time when she met Karan at an event. She captioned the post as, "Maine aaj badla le liya…. Unfollow ni karna si, but at the same time, if my man did that for me, I would be so f**king proud of him @palakkaujla heera mileya eh tainu heera." She mentioned that one day she noticed that Karan had unfollowed her and removed her as a follower. She was quoted as saying:
"I don't know him personally, but I have been an Aujla paglu. Thanks to my boyfriend, I know all his songs and all his lyrics...He happens to see me and waves. I was like, 'What, he knows me?' I immediately took that opportunity to go and say hi. I took my friend and asked her, 'Please record it secretly, I want to keep that moment' I had a great meeting. One day, I noticed he had unfollowed me and removed me as a follower. India's biggest popstar took out time to unfollow me and remove me as a follower."
Further in the video, Parul shared that initially she couldn’t figure out why Karan unfollowed her, but later she came up with a reason. She mentioned that the Punjabi singer would do anything to keep his wife, Palak, happy and secure. She also called out Ms Gori as the latter claimed that she didn’t know that Karan was married. Later, she addressed Karan as a 'green flag'. She was quoted as saying:
"It didn't make sense, and I could come up with one reason. This man will do anything to keep his wife happy and make her feel secure. So listen, Ms Gori, you didn't know he was married? Don't you have Google? I'm going to call your post absolutely BS. Whatever happened with me was wrong, and I still hate him for unfollowing me. But I'm still going to support my favourite pop star, because I love his songs. And he stands up for himself and his wife. A while back, everyone was calling him a green flag, greenest flag. I still believe he is one."
