According to a report, the soon-to-be-daddy, Ranveer Singh will be taking a year-long paternity leave to be with his pregnant ladylove, Deepika Padukone.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are counting the days to meet their soon-to-be-born kids. For the unversed, after dating for quite a number of years, the duo got hitched to one another at Villa del Balbianello in Italy's Lake Como on November 14, 2018. Their wedding was no less than a dream-come-true moment for their fans, and since then, they have kept painting the town red with their mushy moments. The soon-to-be-parents are giving sneak peeks into their pregnancy journey, leaving their fans extremely elated.
A source close to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh opened up about certain lesser-known revelations about their pregnancy to Zoom. The source revealed that Deepika had already completed all her work commitments. While Ranveer had no such plans, he will now take a year-long paternity leave to be with his pregnant lady love. Elaborating on his work commitments, the source said:
"Deepika had already cleared the decks. She had gradually eased out all of her work and was getting ready for a long paternity leave. Ranveer had no such plans. But after his one-year dates for Baiju Bawra were vacated, Ranveer had no other assignments ready to go on the floor. He has now decided not to take any interim assignments before Don 3, Shaktiman, and Aditya Dhar's action films start next year. He will be spending time with Deepika and the baby."

On the night of February 2, 2024, i.e., the second day of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding ceremonies, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh gave a stunning performance. They were seen matching the steps on the song, Gallan Goodiyaan from the film, Dil Dhadakne Do. Afterwards, in another video from the same event, they were also seen subtly playing Dandiya with one another, and radiated pure happiness.

For the Bollywood night on day 2 of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding ceremonies, Deepika and Ranveer looked simply stunning together. The actress wore a heavily embellished Sabyasachi lehenga and teamed it with a golden high-neck full-sleeves blouse. In addition, dainty jewellery and an organza dupatta completed her look for the day. Moreover, she kept her look subtle and opted for a neatly combed bun hairdo. On the other hand, Ranveer looked handsome in a black sherwani with matching pants.

On February 29, 2024, Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy to their fans. They collaboratively took to their respective IG handles and shared a picture post. The picture shared by them featured tiny onesies, caps, shoes, and balloons in both blue and pink. Thus, the dual-colour choice made it doubtful for their fans whether Deepika is pregnant with twins. Atop the picture, the couple penned a note to reveal that their baby will arrive in this world in September 2024.
