The superstar of the Southern film industry, Rana Daggubati, who is known to keep his personal life out of media glares had surprised everyone when he had announced the news of his relationship with a Mumbai-based entrepreneur, Miheeka Bajaj. It was in May 2020, when Rana and Miheeka's relationship was formalised with a roka ceremony. Posting a picture with his beautiful fiancée, Miheeka, Rana had written, “And it’s official!!” Miheeka had also posted two pictures from the ceremony and had written, "To the beginning of forever @ranadaggubati" and "My happy place! @ranadaggubati".
Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj are all set to begin their journey of happily ever after on August 8, 2020. Rana took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture as he gets ready to bring his dulhania home. In the picture, Rana looked dapper in a traditional off-white attire as he posed with father, Daggubati Suresh Babu and uncle, Venkatsh Daggubati. His cousin, Naga Chaitanya’s wife and good friend, Samantha Akkineni couldn’t hide her excitement as she shared the same picture on her IG stories.
On August 6, 2020, Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj had their haldi and mehendi ceremonies. For the haldi ritual, Miheeka had opted for a Boho look and had picked a traditional yellow lehenga which she had paired with jewellery made of shells. Rana had complemented her in a traditional white shirt and dhoti. Rana and Miheeka's haldi pictures reflected nothing but happiness. For the mehendi ceremony, Miheeka had stunned in a pink lehenga and she had rounded off her look with a beaded maang tikka, big jhumkas, pink lips and open wavy hair. During an Instagram live session with actress, Lakshmi Manchu, Rana Daggubati had opened up about how he had confessed his love to Miheeka. When asked how he had proposed her, the actor had replied, “I thought about it how to go and in the evening I confessed to Miheeka. She already had an idea of what was coming. I was too casual and no nervousness.” Rana had also revealed that his family was shocked to know that he had proposed marriage to Miheeka, but they were overwhelmed with happiness, especially his sister.
Post the roka ceremony, the pre-wedding celebrations had continued for the newly-engaged couple as Miheeka Bajaj had posted a picture from 'the celebrations continue' in June. Miheeka had stunned in a mint green Jayanti Reddy lehenga and posting a picture of herself, she had written, "The celebrations continue! Thank you for making my day so much more special! @krsalajewellery @jayantireddylabel @makeupartisttamanna @tpt.toast." In her next post too, Miheeka had tagged her team and thanked them for putting together her gorgeous look.
For the uninitiated, Miheeka Bajaj is a Mumbai-based interior designer, who runs an event management and decor company, Dew Drop Design Studio. She is a London graduate, having completed her Masters in Interior Architecture from the University of the Arts, London. Reports suggest that Miheeka and Rana have known each other for the past ten years but had started dating two years back.
Because Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s relationship came as a surprise to everyone and the couple had kept it under wraps for a long time, their fans have been curious to know every single detail of their journey of love. During an interview with CinemaExpress, when Rana was asked if he thinks life will change post-marriage with Miheeka, he quickly denied and said, "She is so supportive and always keeps things easy for me."
