In a recent conversation, Ram Kapoor opened up about the controversy involving him and TV producer, Ektaa Kapoor.
TV actor, Ram Kapoor and TV producer, Ektaa Kapoor need no introduction. The duo has worked on several projects and shares a long-standing association. However, a few months ago, their relationship hit a rough patch. Ram made a remark on an intimate scene he did in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. Without taking any name in particular, the TV producer called Ram an 'unprofessional actor'. Things escalated when Ram’s wife, Gautami, joined in and took a sly jab at Ektaa. In a recent conversation, Ram opened up about the following.
In a recent conversation with Nayandeep, Ram Kapoor opened up about the controversy involving him and Ektaa Kapoor. He shared that they didn’t get a chance to speak with each other, and the matter was handled on social media. Ram mentioned that when Ektaa commented, he stayed quiet for 6 months and did a press conference only after six months. During the press conference, he added that the TV producer has the right to say whatever she said, as she had done a lot for him. Ram was quoted as saying:
"The matter was handled on social media, the way it should had been handled. When this comment thing happened I stayed quite for 6 months because I am not going to make a comment and make social media happy. After 6 months when I was doing press conference and media was asking me then I said okay finally I am making the statement. I made the correct statement which kind of explained to everyone that Ektaa can say whatever she wants and she has the right to say that because she has done so much for me that I can never hold it against her."
Ram explained that he had not reacted to what Ektaa said because the TV producer, had given him many shows. He mentioned that more than anyone in the industry, she has the right to say anything to him. Ram added that he held no grudges against Ektaa after the following incident. He was quoted as saying:
"That is the reason why I am not going to react to anything she says and that is the reason I avoided giving statements. Because more than anyone in the industry she has the right to literally say anything to me or about me. She has literally given so many shows to me on platter, how can I ever hold anything against her for what she says. I know her well to know that she appreciated the comment and after that nothing further happened. Even on that thing I didn't dwell on it."
Ram Kapoor’s wife, Gautami, who was also part of the conversation, shared her opinion on the feud between him and Ektaa Kapoor. She shared that they have immense respect for the TV producer. She mentioned that people created a lot of fuss over the following matter. Gautami expressed her gratitude to Ektaa and shared that whatever they have today was all because of her. She was quoted as saying:
"We have immense respect for each other and she is also a Punjabi. Logon ne bahot zyaada bakheda bana rakha hai. We are above all that and I think when we meet next time we will give each other a hug because we go back a long time. We are not going to ever forget that. She has given us what we are today."
