In her recent interaction with The Humans of Bombay, Rakhi Sawant revealed why she was never a part of Kapil Sharmas show.
Rakhi Sawant is controversy’s favourite child. The item girl calls herself a struggler despite spending so much time in the industry. Rakhi has always been open about her life and the struggles she has faced to get work. In her unfiltered interview with Humans of Bombay’s show, Spill the Tea, Rakhi revealed why she was never a part of Kapil Sharma’s show.
In the latest episode of Spill the Tea, Rakhi Sawant revealed the real reason behind not being a part of Kapil Sharma’s show. The dancer cum actress revealed that Kapil would never cast her because he knows that she would overshadow him. In her words:
“Kapil Sharma ussi ko laata hai jo uski chamchagiri karta hai. Bhai mai teri chamchagiri kar loongi. Maine Kapil ko kitni baar bola, tumhari comedy show mujhe lo because world kehta hai kitum comedy show me aao, kyuki tumhari comedy achi hai. But usko problem hota hai, usko overshadow hota hai. Tumhe show me loonga to tum hi dikhogi, hum nahi dikhenge.”
Rakhi Sawant has appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, as a guest in 2014. She was in her signature ‘entertainer’ persona, and her appearance had garnered a lot of attention. Post her guest appearance, many social media users have also suggested to Kapil that Rakhi should have a permanent spot on Kapil's show as she is a mass entertainer.
Rakhi Sawant had worked as a waitress at the wedding of businessman, Anil Ambani and popular actress Tina Munim in 1991. In a 2007 interview with television magazine GR8!, Rakhi left everyone shocked when she opened up about her struggling phase and stated that she had worked for Rs. 50 at Anil and Tina's wedding. Recalling the same, the actress had shared:
"When I was around 10 years of age I was working for a caterer to earn daily wages of 50 rupees and I have served food at Tina Ambani's wedding."
Rakhi Sawant is hailed as a mass entertainer. She began her career in the entertainment industry as an item girl and went on to appear in a few films. Apart from her acting in films, Rakhi has made a huge name for herself in the telly world through shows like Bigg Boss 1, Bigg Boss 14, Nach Baliye 3, Rakhi Ka Swayamwar, and the list goes on.
