South superstar, Rajinikanth’s younger daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, is a well-known filmmaker. She is her father's dearest baby girl and shares an adorable bond with him. For the unversed, Soundarya Rajinikanth was previously married to businessman, Ashwin Ram Kumar, and she had surprised everyone by ending her seven-year-old marriage with him. The couple was blessed with a son, whom they named Ved.
Later, on February 11, 2019, Soundarya tied the knot with Vishagan Vanangamudi, in a grand ceremony, and the pictures from the same took the internet by storm. Now, after more than three years of marital bliss, the couple welcomed their first child together. Soundarya announced the news of her baby's arrival with some super-cute pictures and revealed his name on her IG handle.

On September 11, 2022, Soundarya Rajinikanth took to her IG handle and delighted her huge fanbase with the good news of the arrival of her baby boy. The filmmaker shared a series of surreal pictures from her maternity shoot with her hubby, Vishagan, and son, Ved. While one picture showed the couple fondly caressing her baby bump, the other one showed Ved looking at his mommy, Soundarya, while holding her baby bump. In the third picture, Soundarya can be seen flaunting her baby bump in a bodycon dress, while the fourth picture was a beautiful family portrait.
The second-time mommy also shared a cutesy glimpse of her baby boy on her IG handle and sent the internet into a meltdown. In the priceless picture, we can see Soundarya's newborn holding her finger with his teeny tiny hand. Alongside it, she penned a beautiful note and revealed her son's name. Sharing that they have named their baby boy 'Veer Rajinikanth Vanangamudi', Soundarya wrote:
“With God's abundant grace and our parents' blessings, Vishagan, Ved and I are thrilled to welcome Ved’s little brother, Veer Rajinikanth Vanangamudi today 11/9/22. #Veer #Blessed. Thank you to our amazing doctors.”
In a throwback interview with Cinema Vikatan, Soundarya Rajinikanth had opened up about her first meeting with her second-hubby, Vishagan, and revealed how she knew that he was the one for her. Talking about the instant connection between them, she had said:
“We are very compatible and feels like I’ve known him forever. So by God’s Grace let’s hope in a forever. Yes, it was an arranged marriage. A dear friend of my father mentioned to him about Vishagan. At that stage, I did not want to get into a commitment yet. But there was a divine intervention when we met for the very first time.”
