In 2025, Rajeev Khandelwal opened up about quitting television at his peak. Later, he had a candid conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, during which he spoke about the same. When Haarsh called him a superstar and asked the reason behind, Rajeev shared that he wanted to do something else apart from TV shows. He said:
"Mereko us time lagne laga tha ki ye serials chalte hi jayenge kya. Ya toh aap socho ki issi mein aapki zindagi nikalne wali hai, lekin phir aapko lagta hai ki kuch aur bhi karna hai. Agar aage badhna hai toh wo chodna padega na. Main maanta hu agar aapka peak pe chodo toh toh incomplete rehti hai love story. Chahta bani rehni chahiye ki 'isko aur dekhna chahte hai' toh wo feeling ke liye choda tha maine."
