Rajeev and Charu tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Goa on June 16, 2019. In an interview, the ecstatic bride, Charu had revealed about the details of her wedding and she had stated that the wedding theme will highlight the Rajasthani tradition and it will be a perfect blend of Bengali culture.
Recently, Sushmita took to her Instagram handle and shared a beautiful video of Rajeev and Charu's first dance from their sangeet ceremony. And while we loved their every move, it was Sushmita's hooting that made our heart warm. Like a doting sister, the actress kept cheering for both of them. Take a look at their video below:
In an interview with the Bombay Times, Charu had talked about her wedding and how the couple wants to keep it a close intimate function. She had shared, "It will be an intimate affair with just 20-25 people each from our respective families in attendance. Our families had originally zeroed in on a date in December, but Rajeev, during a conversation with me, said that it’s too far. That’s how we advanced the date to June 16. Forget others, even our families were surprised to learn about our decision. We will have a reception in Mumbai depending on the availability of our families and friends." She had further added, "I have always dreamt of having a white wedding. So, we plan to have a Christian-themed engagement and I will wear a white gown for it. The idea is to start with white — the colour stands for peace and purity — and then add colours to our functions and costumes, with us in red on our wedding day. We will be colour-coordinated for all our functions. While the pheras will happen according to Rajasthani and Bengali rituals, the theme for the wedding will be royal Rajasthani. I am in a shopping mode now. I haven’t taken up any new project, as I want to spend time with Rajeev after marriage."
For those who don't know it was on January 11, 2019, when Rajeev had gone on a date with his muse, Charu and had shared an adorable picture of the same on his Instagram. Along with it, he had written about how he had finally met his cute date. And since then, the rumours of their dating started making the rounds, however, the two made their relationship official later in January, followed by a grand June wedding.
