Rahul Vaidya had proposed to Disha Parmar for the wedding on national television on her birthday when he was a part of the reality show, Bigg Boss 14. Wearing a ‘Marry Me’ and ‘Disha HBD’ t-shirt, Rahul had proposed to Disha, saying, “Will you marry me?” It was on Valentine’s Day 2021 that Disha Parmar had entered the Bigg Boss 14 house, wearing a red saree to give Rahul an answer to his question. She had said, “Yes, I will marry you!” Now, finally, the day has come and the wedding madness has begun.
For the unversed, on July 6, 2021, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar had released an official statement about their wedding on their IG handles. It could be read as "With the blessings of our families, we are delighted to share this special moment with you all. We are elated to announce that our wedding is set to take place on 16th of July, 2021. We seek your love and blessings as we begin this new chapter of love and togetherness. Love, Disha and Rahul. #TheDisHulWedding."

On July 14, 2021, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar kickstarted their wedding festivities with their mehendi ceremony. For the ceremony, Disha looked gorgeous in a rani pink kurta with mirror work details. She teamed it up with a light green sharara, keeping her tresses half-tied. On the other hand, the groom-to-be, Rahul Vaidya wore a kurta-pyjama twinning with Disha's sharara. Like every bride-to-be, Disha Parmar’s friends too planned a bachelorette for her. On July 12, 2021, Disha had shared pictures of her intimate bachelorette party on her IG handle. For the party, Disha had worn a black crop top and denim with a 'bride-to-be' sash. The pre-bridal glow was unmissable on her face. Along with the pictures, Disha had written, "I love you girls" followed by heart emoticons.
On July 11, 2021, Bhavna Jasra, known for curating hand and feet castings, had shared a video of the couple getting their hands-impression. In the video, Rahul could be seen singing, Tere haath mein mera haath ho for his wife-to-be, Disha. Alongside it, Bhavna had written, "And he sings a song for her."

Bhavna had also shared another video of the whole casting process. In a conversation with ETimes, Rahul had shared that Disha had a pre-wedding function at his sister’s house and their family had a blast there. He had shared, “My mom is very excited. On the 7th we had a function at my sister’s house. In Maharashtrians, we had a function called Kelwan where a sister calls his brother and sister-in-law to her house so we had that function.
