Fans are extremely excited for 'Ramayana' to hit the global screens this Diwali. While a little is known about the film, the makers have now confirmed that Raghav Juyal has also joined the cast.
The story of Maa Sita and Shri Ram has been a household tale for ages. From serials, novels, movies and cartoons, several adaptations of the epic have been made and loved immensely by the Sanatanis in the country. However, their love and teachings are never enough; hence, when Nitesh Tiwari announced that he would bring another adaptation of the epic, the Ramayana, fans have been eagerly anticipating its release. And now, we finally have another update on the film's cast.
After winning over the country with his performance in Aryan Khan's directorial debut series, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, Raghav Juyal is now all set to enter the mythological world of Ramayana. The dancer-turned-actor has bagged his biggest project so far, and we couldn't be happier for him. Yes! You heard that right, Raghav will now be seen in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming project alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol and Yash.
On February 7, 2026, Variety India reported that Raghav Juyal had been brought on board for the film. Ever since the report surfaced, fans have been curious about which role the actor was picked for. Well, you don't have to look any further as we have all the information for you.
According to reports, the actor has been brought on board to play 'Meghanad', also known as 'Indrajit'. He was the eldest son of 'Ravana' and the crowned prince of Lanka. However, fans will have to wait for a while before seeing Raghav Juyal in the mystical role of the prince. His character will appear in Ramayana Part 2, which will release during Diwali 2027. The report states that while the role was initially meant for Vikrant Massey, things did not work out, after which Raghav was approached instead, and he immediately came on board.
While fans are already over the moon about Raghav Juyal joining the cast, the actor himself is still in recovery. And according to reports is expected to begin filming his scenes once he recovers from his injury.
In Ramayana, 'Meghanad' is considered one of the greatest warriors and played a pivotal role in the epic war between 'Lord Rama' and 'Ravana'. While Ranbir Kapoor plays 'Lord Ram', Sai Pallavi is seen in the role of 'Goddess Sita'. Yash will play 'Ravana', with Sunny Deol as 'Hanuman' and Ravi Dubey as 'Lakshman'. On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as 'Mandodri' and 'Surpanakha'. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project.
The film is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The makers of Ramayana are planning a grand public reveal on Ram Navami, marking the first official unveiling of the film's characters and visual universe on March 27, 2026.
