Recently, Qazi Touqeer talked about his years-old misunderstanding about ditching Ekta Kapoor.
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, Qazi Touqeer talked about the years-old misunderstanding with Ekta Kapoor. Qazi recalled the 2005 incident when he was around 20 years old, and he received a big offer from Ekta Kapoor after winning Fame Gurukul.
Recalling their meeting, Qazi revealed that he had never worked in television before, but he was given a big opportunity: a role in Ekta Kapoor's serial, where he played a 'rockstar'. He added that while Ekta was narrating the story, he kept looking at her rings. Qazi recalled:
"TV maine kabhi kiya nahin. TV ki opportunity bahot badi badi thi. Main khushkismat tha jiske liye Ekta Kapoor ji aayi 2005 mein and she narrated the story. Main sirf unki anguthiyan dekh raha tha. Rockstar ka pura character Ekta ji mujhe narrate kar rahi thi."
Qazi then recalled that he declined the offer because he had already signed a film contract. But the media portrayed it from a different angle. He said there was a misunderstanding that he had ditched Ekta for a bigger opportunity. Qazi said:
"Main subah breakfast mein dekh raha hoon, ‘Qazi ditched Ekta Kapoor. Qazi has a bigger fish to fry.' Us time clarification karne ke liye thodi thi hamare paas social media. Ho gaya badnaam, ban gaya arrogant."
The video of the scene was shared on Qazi's Instagram handle by his team, with the caption stating how the singer cleared the misunderstanding. Ekta also acknowledged the post by calling Qazi, 'Winner', followed by a heart emoji. A user on Reddit wrote:
"Qazi clarified that he never disrespected Ekta Kapoor Ma’am, and that the media had created a false narrative. Today, Ekta Ma’am herself commented WINNER on his Instagram post! Sometimes, one word from the right person is enough to silence an entire narrative."
Earlier, on Bigg Boss 20, Qazi expressed his love for Arijit. He called him his life and stated that his fighting spirit is crazy, and he does not get tired for 8 hours. He sits down with his sitar, and he forgets the world and time. Qazi said:
"Bro, I'm telling you. That guy is my life. That guy is my life. Uska fighting spirit crazy hai. Woh 8 ghante tak nahi thakta. He sits down with his sitar. Shuru jab kiya usne toh time ka kuch pata nahi chal raha hai. Saat ghanta, chhe ghanta, constant. Usi cheez mein khoya hua hai. I’m passionate about clothes. What does he enjoy? The process. His music."
Earlier, Arijit Singh, who rarely talks about reality shows, took to his X account and supported Qazi by sharing a post. He stated that he would have to watch this season of Bigg Boss as his rockstar is there.
