Much to our dismay, Priyaa Bathija and Kawaljeet Saluja have apparently been living separately for over a year now, with their marriage hitting a rock bottom.

Love knocked on the door of Priyaa Bathija’s heart for the second time in the form of Rapiur based DJ, Kawaljeet Saluja. The duo had walked down the aisle on May 22, 2017, in an Anand Karaj wedding. The duo had completed a year of their marital bliss on May 22, 2018, and for the same, Kawaljeet had then posted a heartfelt message for his ladylove. The same could be read as, “I just want you to believe in me & we will cross every huddle in life, like its just another stone. “1st Mile crossed”. I cannot express much how much. I love you with these simple words. But you know I do more. Happy 1st Anniversary Love. @priya_bathija.”
Two days prior to their first wedding anniversary, i.e., on May 20, 2018, Kawaljeet Saluja had shared another picture with his wife, Priyaa Bathija and captioned it as, “No matter how much far away I am from you, I still have so much to love you, I don’t want to lose this feeling of being in love. For all of the anger and sorrows, I just want let you know you are the Center of me & its gonna be the same. @priya_bathija Love you always. Our 1st anniversary on its way.”
Read Kawaljeet Saluja’s message yet again for it slightly hints about some trouble in paradise for this duo when he wrote, “For all of the anger and sorrows, I just want let you know you are the Center of me & its gonna be the same.” And much to our dismay, as per a Bombay Times report, Priyaa Bathija and Kawaljeet Saluja have apparently been living separately for over a year now. While the rumoured estranged couple chose to keep mum about this issue, a source close to the couple has shared, “Problems started cropping up six months after their marriage. They tried counselling, but that didn’t help. Kawaljeet even shifted to Mumbai for a few months to resolve their differences, but it couldn’t fix things. As mentioned earlier, this is Priyaa Bathija’s second stint in love and marriage. She was earlier married to television star, Jatin Shah. Priyaa and Jatin had even participated in Nach Baliye 4 together, post which they had gotten married. But as fate would have it, after two years of marital bliss, Priyaa and Jatin parted ways in 2011 and in 2016, Cupid struck Priyaa with his love arrows, only to fall down later. About her second stint in love, Priyaa had spoken about going for second marriage and had stated, “It was time. Today, you have work; maybe tomorrow you won’t, but in the end, one has to settle down. You need to have someone to share your happiness and sorrow with.”
Speaking of how Priyaa Bathija had met Kawaljeet Saluja, she was quoted as saying, “I was out for dinner once, and I bumped into a friend, and Kawaljeet happened to be there. He fell in love with me instantly. We spoke to each other for a month, and soon our families got involved.” She further added, “I knew he wanted to settle down in life, his priorities are very clear. We both are family oriented people, and I have always wanted someone like him in my life.”
Earlier confirming her roka with Kawaljeet Saluja, Priyaa Bathija had stated to an online portal, “It was love at first sight for Kawal, who told our common friend that he wants to marry me. He spoke to his family about me and requested my friend to get me to speak with my family, too. Soon, our families met and the roka was held on February 13. At first, I was sceptical about an arranged marriage as I didn’t know him too well. But after meeting him a few times, I realised that he is family-oriented. Like me, he is also old-school.
