Mulk Actor, Prateik Babbar And His Girlfriend, Sanya Sagar Are Getting Married, Details Inside

Prateik Babbar and his long-time girlfriend, Sanya Sagar are getting married on January 22-23, 2019. The couple will get hitched in an intimate two-day-long wedding ceremony in Lucknow which happens to be Sanya's hometown. Reportedly, a reception would soon follow in Mumbai for the industry people, the dates and venue of which will be announced soon. A source told Mumbai Mirror, "They have known each other for almost a decade but have been dating for only around two years and are excited to take their relationship to next level."

Prateik and Sanya have known each other for nine long years now, and the 32-year-old actor had once revealed that he wanted to enjoy the courtship period for a year or two before marrying Sanya. Prateik shared with Mumbai Mirror, "I’ve been mentally ready for marriage for a while now as I believe it gives a relationship substance."

Prateik Babbar's wife-to-be, Sanya is a graduate from National Institue of Fashion Technology and holds a degree in filmmaking from London Film Academy. Both their parents are in politics but it's the love for cinema that brought the two together. Prateik and Sanya got engaged last year on January 22, 2018. Sharing the news of his engagement with his fans, Prateik had shared the following picture with Sanya and captioned it, “#monday.. holy snappp!.. that just happened!". To which Sanya (who is by the name of 'pynkmoss' on Instagram) replied, “Yus ba, sharing the news with thby” with a heart emoticon.

Talking about his engagement with Mumbai Mirror, Prateik earlier said "Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds clichéd, but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in my life." Groom-to-be further talked about the type of wedding he wants to have and said, “But we want to enjoy this courtship period for a year or two; Sanya will shuttle between Mumbai and Lucknow. We haven’t thought about the wedding yet, but if I had my way, I would love a beach wedding or a simple temple wedding.”

He further stated, “I’ve been mentally ready for marriage for a while now as I believe it gives a relationship substance. Nothing will change, life will only get even more beautiful.” On collaborating with his would-be-wife someday, Prateik said, “It is on our minds. It will be great to be a creatively in sync couple.”

Prateik Babbar is the son of legendary actors, Raj Babbar and Smita Patil. Smita Patil died due to childbirth complications after delivering Prateik. Recently, on December 13, 2018, on her 32nd death anniversary, Prateik shared the following picture and wrote a tribute for her, "32 years since she left us.. my heart skips a beat every time i think of her.. my heart is restless.. yet perfectly content.. my veins feel heavy.. i can feel my blood.. it feels so warm.. she takes me in.. she takes my breath.. she is my breath.. she is my air.. she is my soul.. she is me. rest in power.. my beautiful."
