Over the years, she has touched her listeners' hearts with several romantic songs like Hawaa Hawaa, Bheegh Loon, Katra Katra, and Hum Aaye Hain, to name a few. Now, congratulations are in order for Prakriti as she recently tied the knot with entrepreneur, Vinay Anand in an intimate ceremony. Their wedding was held at Fort Barwara, which is situated close to Jaipur. Although she kept her ceremony an intimate affair, Prakriti took to her Instagram on January 25, 2026, posting a series of photos to give a glimpse into her wedding day.
We are only in the first month of 2026, and it is already kicking off to be the best year for celebrity marriages. Recently, Sukriti Kakar's twin sister, Prakriti Kakar, tied the knot with entrepreneur, Vinay Anand in a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony held at Fort Barwara near Jaipur. The couple got engaged last year in April 2025. While fans had been eagerly awaiting pictures from her big day, Prakriti finally fulfilled their wishes on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
She captioned the first photos of her wedding, "Just Married. 23.01.2026," followed by a red heart and an infinity emoji. In the pictures Prakriti posted, she looked like the perfect bride, donning an intricately embroidered red lehenga. Pairing it with polki and emerald jewellery, she looked absolutely stunning in a matching necklace, earrings, and maang tikka set, all with elaborate designs. On the other hand, Prakriti's husband, Vinay, can be seen rocking an ivory sherwani.
The first photo in Prakriti's carousel shows her holding hands with her new beau while sitting at the mandap. In the next picture, Prakriti and Vinay can be seen exchanging their varmalas, with guests throwing rose petals, making for the most dreamy atmosphere. In another picture, the Katra Katra singer can be seen making a jaw-dropping entrance under the phoolon ka chadar.
No sooner did Prakriti and Vinay drop their wedding photos than the comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages. Amid the thousands of fans sending their best wishes to the newlyweds, their fellow celebrities also did not hold back from doing the same. Actress, Triptii Dimri wrote a simple, “Congratulations,” while Manushi Chhillar gushed over Prakriti and Vinay and wrote, “How beautiful,” followed by a red heart emoji. Prakriti's twin sister, Sukriti, mirrored everyone's sentiments and commented, “Love you both.” The bride's other sister, Akriti Kakar, also wrote, “My whole heart.” A comment by renowned music producer, Vishal Dadlani, reads, “Congratulations and permanent joy to both of you @prakritikakar.”
Earlier, during a conversation with Hindustan Times, Prakriti had shared her wedding plans. Here, she also revealed that following her wedding, a big reception will be held for all those who are close to her, including her colleagues in the industry. In her words:
“The wedding is at Fort Barwara near Jaipur, which will be an intimate ceremony. That will be followed by celebrations in Delhi. There will also be a big reception in Mumbai, where everyone who has been part of my journey and industry colleagues will join in. It’s going to be two weeks of fun."
