'Piya Rangrez' Fame Narayani Tells About Her Equation With Ex-Beau Gaurav Chopra

It has been a long-time now that this dusky beauty of small screen is making headlines. We are talking about none other than the one and only, Narayani Shastri. Yes, the same actress who recently reigned the headlines for secretly tying the knot with long-time boyfriend Steven Graver aka Tony.

Well, the actress again made it to the news and this time she has sporken about her equation with all her exes for the first time. Many of you might know that Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress was earlier dating ex-Bigg Boss contestant, Gaurav Chopra and broke up with him eight years back. Gaurav, who went on to date Narayani's friend, Mouni Roy, but the two soon parted ways, and now she is rumoured to be dating Mohit Raina.

Now that she is a married woman and Gaurav too has moved on in life, their relationship of being friends has stayed unaffected. In fact, her husband Tony has an amazing rapport with Gaurav. Here’s what the actress stated in a recent interview:

"The good thing about Tony is that he's an easy person. I take my time to become friends. He understands what I need and where I stand with my fundas in life. He is more friends with my exes than I am.”

She further added:

"I talk to Gaurav once in a month but they talk a lot and also hang out with each other. I'm cool with that."

In an interview with TOI earlier, when she was probed if exes can be friends, Narayani was quoted as saying:

“Why not? All my girlfriends would often tell me your current boyfriend might not like your association with your ex. But that's not the case at all. Gaurav and Tony get along like a house on fire.”

There are some who think that when a relationship is over, everything is over and they break all the ties with the person. But, Narayani has her own take on it. Here’s what she stated:

"You go in a relationship with someone because you like a few things about that person and that's why you take it ahead. I have made it a point to not forget those good things. And that's why I'm friends with all my ex-boyfriends.

When Narayani and Gaurav parted ways, it was speculated that the reason behind their split was Mouni, because the two of them started seeing each other after that. Narayani spoke about her relationship with Mouni as well. Here’s what she said:

"Me and Mouni are in touch still. I'm sure she's not in touch with Gaurav. But we (she and Mouni) are very good friends. I have known Mouni before Gaurav started dating her. I had told Gaurav about Mouni. People don't know this."

Further, Narayani also talked about how things have stopped affecting her anymore if people talk about on this note. Here’s what she was quoted as saying:

"People don't understand that we're normal people. Two people may not get along for whatever reasons. But it doesn't bother me. I don't care."

There is no denying the fact that Narayani is amongst those actresses who always speaks her mind. She said:

“I’m too idealistic. Sometimes my professionalism comes in the way. I’m one of those people who will not lie even if it hurts anyone. I’ll just say the way it is. To become friends with a person me is difficult. But then I do have those core people who like me for being the person I am. They can come to me for a reality check. They tolerate me and they love me for who I am. And I’m very comfortable with that. I don’t have to pretend to be someone else.”

On the work front, the actress will soon be seen in upcoming show Rishton Ka Chakravyuh on Star Plus, where she will be seen playing the role of Satrupa, who hails from a royal family. She also talke about her role and the show:

"Satrupa is completely different from what I have done before. She is sophisticated, elegant, well-spoken and at the same time very controlled. This is a love-hate story between a mother and a daughter and not a typical 'saas-bahu' show.
