Talking about his on-screen romances, Pierce stated that his wife, Keely, doesn't worry about his on-screen affair. He shared that his wife is not afraid of his on-screen romances, as she calls it, legal cheating. Pierce added that his wife is cool, has a great sense of humor, and has full faith in him. He said:
"She calls it legal cheating. My wife is very cool. She has a great sense of humor about it, a great sense of who she is as a woman, and security and faith in me."
Pierce and Keely first met in 1994 when the former journalist interviewed Pierce. The couple fell in love and married after seven years in Ireland. Not many know that it was Keely who pushed Pierce to go to Hollywood. Soon, he landed the role in the detective series, Remington Steele in 1982, and he got the role in four Bond films.

But her husband, Pierce, is extremely protective of her, and he doesn't mince words when he stands up for her. In 2022, when he shared a throwback photo with his wife from their holiday, the photo went viral.
People fat-shamed Keely, but Pierce quickly shut down the ugly trolls. The actor clarified that he loves his wife and sees her beyond her outward appearance. He even made a startling revelation that his friends offering her surgery to reduce her weight is extremely unkind. He said:
"Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children. In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I love her even more because she is my children’s mother. And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love."
Not many know that Pierce was earlier married to Australian, Cassandra Harris, his first wife, who died of ovarian cancer in 1991. He revealed that Keely, whom he met three years after his first wife's passing, has been a pillar of support. She helped him and showed compassion while he was mourning the death of his first wife. He called Keely his 'North Star', always looking out for him.
The couple also had a son named Sean. Later, they adopted two children, Charlotte and Chris, from a previous marriage. He talked about it in an interview and said:
"Such things draw a mark across your heart, and it's always a part of your life. To watch someone you love have their life eaten away – bit by bit, by this insidious and horrid disease – becomes an indelible part of your psyche. Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie. I think of Cassie all the time."
