Perez Hilton has been recovering at the hospital for over a fortnight now. Amid that, reports have gone rife that the blogger has finally been permitted to meet his three children. However, certain conditions must be met before his children can visit him. For the unversed, Perez Hilton left everyone shocked when he went live covered in blood and with a knife in hand.
Perez Hilton kept yelling, "This is what you wanted," while hurting himself across his body. He appeared to be completely naked and even invited some viewers to join the livestream while continuing to harm himself. While the internet has not yet recovered from the horrifying live, it was Perez's children who have been facing the real aftermath of the incident. For the unversed, Perez Hilton is a father of three. He welcomed all three of his children via surrogacy.
According to reports, Hilton welcomed his first child, Mario Armando Lavandeira III, in February 2013 via a gestational surrogate. He then welcomed his second child, Mia Alma Lavandeira, in June 2015, followed by his youngest, Mayte Amor Lavandeira, born in October 2017. After the August 4, 2026, incident, temporary custody of his three kids was granted to his mother.
It was also reported that his children were inside the house when Perez's mental status began to worsen. However, before they could have been any more traumatized, his sister got them out of the residence. So, as Perez Hilton finally gets permission to see his children, let's see what the conditions for their visit are.
According to the news outlet, court documents they obtained reveal that a judge has granted Perez Hilton visitation with his three children. However, these visits must be supervised by either a family member agreed upon by both sides or a therapist. There is another condition Perez must meet before being allowed to see his children. The blogger must obtain psychiatric clearance, and the supervised arrangement remains in place until the court orders otherwise or Perez and his mom agree to something different.
The judge has also granted Perez Hilton's mother, Teresita Lavandeira, temporary legal custody of the children. For the unversed, Teresita had filed for custody after the incident, and doctors confirmed that it would take a while before Perez was back on his feet. The order notes that Perez is their only legal parent and that Perez consented to the arrangement. As per the order, Teresita now has authority over the children's medical care, school enrollment, and other decisions necessary for their well-being.
The custody case itself is now sealed, with the judge finding that confidentiality was necessary to protect the children. According to reports, Perez Hilton has a long recovery ahead of him and will likely have some permanent scarring from the incident. Nonetheless, it looks like Perez isn't completely cut off from his kids when he returns home, but he won't be alone with them.
