They also revealed the duo's current state, sharing how mentally taxing the situation has been for them. A colleague of Rachel Danis told the Daily Mail that it has been overwhelming for her to deal with the online chatter around her and her husband. As per the colleague, it's been "tough" for Rachel, and she's been pushing through as best she can. In their words:
"It's been tough [for Rachel Danis]. She's hanging in there."
The colleague further stated that the cyberbullying has reached an extent where Rachel Danis was facing death threats and her personal information was being circulated online. Friends and relatives of Patrick Clancy also echoed similar sentiments when discussing the online criticism directed at him and Rachel. According to them, the public has been creating narratives around the Lindsay Clancy case and believing whatever they want to believe, without caring about the people involved.
A relative of Patrick Clancy told the Daily Mail that the people who are slandering him online ignored the fact that he has been carrying the grief of losing his three children. The relative also shut down the rumors that he hasn't been attentive towards Lindsay, claiming that he was the "nicest, most supportive person ever." Calling the unverified accusations against Patrick "heinous" and "damaging", the relative stated:
"The things that are going around right now are heinous. It has been really upsetting and damaging...Pat has always been the nicest, most supportive person ever. He loved his family, he loved his wife [Lindsay Clancy], and he did everything he could to support her, and this is just a really sad story."
Patrick Clancy reportedly met Rachel Danis when he moved to Manhattan about four months after his three kids died on January 24, 2023. According to PEOPLE, the couple was in a relationship by February 2024. Rachel reportedly moved into Patrick's Upper East Side apartment in late 2025. Patrick and Rachel then tied the knot in Central Park in April 2026. Recently, unverified reports claimed that the couple welcomed a child around the time of their wedding; however, this remains speculative, as the couple themselves haven't confirmed it.
