Patralekhaa has finally broken the silence about the recent posts body-shaming her about her appearance after giving birth to her and Rajkummar Rao's daughter.
Actress-producer, Patralekhaa welcomed her daughter, Parvati Paul Rao, on November 15, 2025. She and Rajkummar Rao announced their little angel's name in January 2026. While the bundle of joy left fans in awe, several paparazzi photos of the actress started making headlines. Now, she has taken to her Instagram account, calling out the paparazzi for body-shaming her for looking different after childbirth.
Patralekhaa took to her Instagram account on April 17, 2026, and posted a story slamming the 'pap pages' for body shaming her. She talked about how she has seen insensitive comments about her appearance on the internet, despite the obvious fact that she had just given birth and hence her body might look different from what it did before. In an Instagram story, she urged the paps to show empathy and kindness rather than pass judgment.
Patralekhaa took to her Instagram stories and explained that what happened to her is that she gave birth to her and her husband, Rajkummar Rao's daughter, Parvati Paul Rao. She elaborated that she had gained weight for the same reason, and while it might seem bizarre to them, she had not binged herself into her current figure. She added that it was because she gave birth and soon after worked on two production projects. She was quoted as saying:
"What's happened to me!? I have just given birth! Yes, I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain; I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously, which are not easy jobs."
Patralekhaa continued, admitting that if it were within her control, she wouldn't be the way she is right now. However, that was not how things worked, and her body had reacted to being pregnant. She concluded her post by asking the media and netizens to be kinder and more empathetic. The actress, whose maiden production is Toaster, which was released on April 15, 2026, was quoted as saying:
"If I could, I would not be this way. But that's how my body has reacted to pregnancy.
For God's sake, please learn to be a little kind."
On November 15, 2025, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa embraced parenthood for the first time and welcomed their beloved daughter. In January 2026, the couple announced their little angel's name as Parvati Paul Rao. Talking about Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao's love story, the actor first laid eyes on Patralekha in an advertisement. At first glance, he found her to be really cute and wished to meet her someday. Finally, the two met while shooting Hansal Mehta's 2014 drama, CityLights. It was during the filming that Rajkummar and Patralekha ended up falling for one another.

The couple made headlines for their wedding rituals, as not only did Rajkummar apply sindoor to Patralekhaa, but also had his bride apply sindoor to him, as a symbol of equality in their relationship.
