Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleOregon school shooting incident is equally shocking and heartbreaking. For the unversed, on October 15, 2026, a 16-year-old crazy teen opened fire at an Oregon elementary school named Silver Rail Elementary. According to reports, the teen gunman was identified as Griffin John, a former student of the school. The shooting killed three students aged 5, 8, and 11 and a teacher. Police records now state this was not the first time they visited Griffin’s house.
TMZ obtained some police records that clearly state that the suspect's family in the Bend, Oregon school shooting was apparently no stranger to local authorities. In the police records, there is a call log that shows the Bend Police Department was called multiple times back in 2023 for various reasons, including harassment, a noise complaint, and a domestic dispute.
According to a call dated March 2, 2023, a woman accused Griffin’s mom, Shauntai Nickerson, of causing physical injury to her. However, it is currently unclear who called, who was involved in each call, and what the result of the call was, but it was not the last time cops paid a visit to the residence.
As per police records, in 2024 and 2025, the Ben Police Department arrived at the Oregon school shooting suspect’s home for an unwanted subject, a welfare check, and another domestic dispute. In March 2025, fire and rescue services also reportedly visited the residence in response to what appeared to be a medical emergency.
Earlier this year, in July 2026, cops were called for an alleged theft. After the fatal tragedy, police showed up to the home to conduct follow-ups on October 17, 2026, and October 19, 2026. According to multiple reports, the gun that Griffin used in the shooting was purchased by his mom, Shauntai Nickerson. For those unaware, the suspect used a pump-action shotgun that his mother had bought. A source said to The New York Post, Nickerson purchased the weapon around his birthday in August 2026.
Everything was going well at the Oregon elementary school until the afternoon of October 15, 2026. Griffin reportedly went to extreme lengths to carry out the heinous crime. Sources said that around 1 p.m. on October 15, 2026, John allegedly threw his Maverick 88 shotgun over the school's fence and climbed over the fence himself.
The shooting left a student, aged 7, and a teacher, aged 54, critical in hospital and killed four, including three students and a teacher. Bend police chief Mike Krantz confirmed that the deadly mass shooting was ended by a community member who was later identified as Kaylub Giamanco. He is a carpenter and is the father of two girls who attend the Silver Rail Elementary School.
As per reports, the suspect tried to enter the school through the main entrance, but two bystanders, including Kaylub, stopped him. The dad of two noticed that someone had entered the school grounds while he was driving past on his way home for lunch. Kaylub took the 16-year-old shooter down with a concealed weapon he was carrying.
According to sources, when the 16-year-old gunman failed to enter the school through the front door, he ran to the back entrance and blew off its lock to enter the school. The harrowing incident left many teachers traumatized. During a press conference on the afternoon of October 16, 2026, the Bend Police Department also identified the teacher who was fatally shot by the teen shooter, Griffin J. John, as 25-year-old Megan Lambert.
