An insider has revealed to Page Six that there is more going on between Smith and Nuzzi than just talks about their relationship. The insider said, "It’s romantic", further revealing that the pair met in April 2026 (ET), and "it began immediately", referring to their allegedly brewing romance.

But she was put on leave pending an investigation after it was revealed that she had developed an intimate relationship with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while interviewing him on the 2024 campaign trail. Meanwhile, Olivia Nuzzi penned her lightly read memoir, American Canto. After which Vanity Fair, which had controversially signed her up as its West Coast editor, let her contract lapse, leading Nuzzi to lose another job. However, it seems she has now moved on from her controversial story with RFK Jr. and found romance with Shane Smith. However, neither has commented on the ongoing buzz yet.
