In a recent interview, Olivia revealed she is meticulously storing her most iconic fashion pieces, including her 2012 Miss Universe and Miss USA gowns and her custom Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress, to pass down to her 5-month-old daughter, Colette Annalise McCaffrey. Olivia Culpo opened up about the tough period of her breakup with Nick Jonas years after their split. During the premiere of her reality series, The Culpo Sisters, the 33-year-old model and internet personality shared that the breakup left her with "no sense of identity." She shared that during the period she was living with Nick, she left her entire world behind, moved to L.A. with him, without a second thought. At that time, Olivia wasn't established and was new to the place, which is why, after the breakup with Nick, she felt absolutely lost. She stated:
"I moved to L.A. with him. I had no brand, no money and I was in love. That was great right, but when he broke up with me, I was kind of left with no sense of identity."
Olivia also shared that she struggled financially immediately after Nick Jonas broke up with her, even having difficulty paying rent. She felt that her "whole identity was in him", just like any other young lover. She had been thinking about marrying Nick, but then the breakup happened, and it hit her hard. Olivia Culpo's greatest worry after the split was how she would pay her rent. It was a "serious, pivotal moment" for her as she couldn't even afford her groceries. Recalling her struggles back then, the model mentioned:
"My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love. I thought we were going to get married, I thought all the things, and I just remember night after night looking up at my ceiling in my apartment that I couldn't afford thinking to myself how am I going to pay my rent."
Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo broke up in June 2015 after two years of dating, primarily due to the challenges of long-distance and their demanding work schedules. Prior to the breakup, Nick Jonas publicly admitted that he was "no pro" at making long-distance relationships work and found it challenging to navigate while traveling for tours. At the time of their split, both Nick and Olivia were focused on their growing careers; he was preparing for a fall tour with Kelly Clarkson, and she was traveling globally for modeling assignments.
Some reports at the time also suggested Nick ended the relationship because he was uncomfortable with Olivia's alleged jealousy regarding fans and other women.
