Zerodha's co-founder, Nikhil Kamath made a shocking revelation regarding the concept of 'legacy' and added why he doesn't want to have babies.
Zerodha's co-founder, Nikhil Kamath is a successful Indian entrepreneur, but his take on the concept of legacy and having babies in life is making headlines now. Apart from the retail stockbroker, Zerodha, Nikhil is also the co-founder of an asset management company, True Beacon and a real estate investments and prop tech company, Gruhas. For his immense contribution in the world of business, Nikhil had also become a part of the 2023 Forbes billionaires list.
Nikhil Kamath also hosts his podcast, WTF is? wherein he keeps revealing many unknown anecdotes from his life while indulging in conversations with eminent people from various industries. Recently, in one of the latest episodes of his podcast, Nikhil talked about the idea of “legacy”. He revealed having no belief in the idea and asserted:
“I think we all feel that we are more important than we actually are... you are born and you die like every other animal on the planet and then you are gone and nobody remembers anybody. What's the point in being remembered (after death)? I feel like you should come, you should live well, you should be nice to the people you meet in your life."

Further, in the same conversation, Nikhil revealed he also has no belief in having children. According to him, having children is not required in order to continue a "legacy". Thus, he does not want to spend two decades of his life "babysitting" in the hope that his children will treat him well during his old age. Nikhil said:
"This is also partly why I don't have kids. I'm going to ruin 18-20 years of my life babysitting this child and then if luck serves me right, the reverse will happen at some point. What if he says 'scr** you' at 18 and leave anyway."
