The 'Jersey Shore' alum recently recalled her intimidating experience with Wendy Williams on her live show when she was secretly pregnant, claiming the former host forced her to drink beer.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi is no stranger to the limelight. Famously known as the original cast of Jersey Shore, she has been a favourite face of reality television with her comedic antics and outspoken personality. While it has been years since Snooki first became one of the industry's breakout stars, one particular incident from her early days in television has resurfaced.
We are talking about her infamous interaction with former talk show host Wendy Williams, who once pressured Snooki to drink beer on live TV to expose her secret pregnancy.
During her appearance on Off The Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe, which aired on Sunday, May 19, 2026, Snooki reflected on some of the most stressful moments of her reality TV career, and one of them was her experience working with Wendy Williams. While discussing the veteran TV host, Snooki admitted that she always found Williams "intimidating."
However, the conversation quickly shifted when Snooki’s close friend, Joey Camasta, brought up a specific interview from 2012. "Remember when she made you drink when you were pregnant?" quipped Camasta, and Snooki agreed by saying, "She did." The 38-year-old mom of three went on to reveal that she had not publicly announced her pregnancy at the time. Wendy had apparently already heard rumors that Snooki might be expecting and allegedly used beer as a way to test her reaction in front of the audience. The Jersey Shore alum recalled:
"She was intimidating, for sure... She heard there was a rumour that I was pregnant. She brought out beer for me and Jenni [Farley] and goes, ‘Well, let’s see if you’re pregnant!’ "
While Snooki was seen pretending to take a small sip of the beer, she now shares that despite the pressure, she never actually drank the beer. In footage from the original interview, Wendy could later be heard joking:
"So you’re not pregnant! That was a pregnancy setup."
The timeline suggests she was expecting her first child, son Lorenzo Dominic, who was born later that year in August. Just a few months after the interview aired, she confirmed that she was indeed pregnant.
Nicole Snooki became a mom for the first time in 2012 when she gave birth to Lorenzo with her husband, Jionni LaVelle, whom she met in Season 3 of Jersey Shore. The couple is now parents to three children. Two years after welcoming Lorenzo, Snooki and LaVelle had their second child, a daughter, Giovanna Marie LaVelle, on September 26, 2014, just months before they tied the knot that year. Their youngest, Angelo James, was born on May 30, 2019, and will turn seven in a few days.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi shot to fame as one of the breakout stars of MTV’s Jersey Shore, appearing in all six seasons from 2009 to 2012. She later starred in the spin-off series Snooki & JWoww from 2012 to 2015 and competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2013. Beyond television, Snooki is also a bestselling author, with books including Confessions of a Guidette (2011), A Shore Thing (2011), and Gorilla Beach (2014).
Snooki revealed in February 2026 that she was diagnosed with stage 1 cervical cancer after years of abnormal Pap smears. Thankfully, it was caught early and is considered curable. She has urged women to stay on top of routine screenings. Despite facing potential surgery, Snooki has remained focused on being there for her children.
Despite the difficult health battle, Snooki has continued filming, making public appearances, and staying connected with fans through social media.
