For the unversed, the husband-wife duo was found dead in their Brentwood, California, home. Rob was 78 while Michele was 70, and the couple was stabbed to death.
Their death certificates revealed that they died within minutes of multiple sharp force injuries from a knife by another. Two days after the couple's death, their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia before the killings, and was taken into custody on two counts of first-degree murder.
Nick Reiner is facing a maximum sentence of life without any possibility of parole or the death penalty. Amid this, some reports claimed that Nick Reiner's condition deteriorated in jail. The report came just after social media users were left shocked with a glimpse of Nick from a photo from the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Cynthia Bailey. It was only 4-5 days ago that Cynthia took to her social media handle and posted a photo to celebrate her husband, Leon Robinson's 64th birthday. The photo featured Leon hugging their daughter, Noelle Robinson.
What shocked the social media users was someone in the background. No sooner did the photo surface than the attention shifted to the background, which featured Nick Reiner. The photo was seemingly from an eatery, and Nick was sitting just behind Leon and Noelle. Social media users expressed their shock over the photo, and they started discussing it on social media. One user penned, "Is that Rob Reiner's son in the background?", while another wrote, "I think it is terrifying because he became a murder[er]".
It cannot be confirmed when the photo was taken, and Bailey also hasn't reacted to the conversation that is up surrounding the recent photo that went viral. Recently, sources revealed to the Daily Mail that Nick Reiner's health has been deteriorating. Nick is in jail, and according to the sources, while he was already not well during the time his parents passed away, now during his jail stay, he is even weaker.
Nick Reiner has reportedly become unrecognizable and gone bald due to the medications that were provided to him by the institution. He also allegedly lost his ability to speak, and he has been babbling like a child, which is causing issues for him to converse with his lawyers. Nick's health has worsened so much that he couldn't spend time with his inmates and was placed in a separate cell, where he is left with his dark thoughts. Nick's siblings have expressed their concern over his deteriorating health condition and felt that if this goes on, he will possibly die, as his heart would be strained and it would possibly make it weaker.
For those who are unaware, Nick Reiner had a history of drug abuse, which he reportedly began at just 15. Nick had been to rehab centers 16-17 times, and when he was 19, he left the centers and tried to do better in his life, coming out of the addiction and struggles that he was facing. Reports claimed that Nick started drug abuse again, and his parents wanted him to start treatment again. This conversation reportedly caused a heated argument at a Christmas party, following which, Nick took the drastic step of stabbing his parents to death.
