Netflix film, 72 Hours, is all about comedy. The story follows a 40-year-old businessman, 'Joe' (played by Kevin Hart), who is facing a lot of issues at the workplace. During this turbulent phase, 'Joe' accidentally gets added to a group chat for a bachelor party with a group of Gen Z men in their 20s. He decides to join them on their three-day trip to Miami. 'Joe' decides to join the group of young men, hoping it will help him impress people and save his job.
However, little did 'Joe' know that instead of a relaxing trip, everything would go wrong. During the three-day trip to Miami, the group, along with 'Joe', goes through a lot of hurdles, from trouble with the police to drug-related chaos. They enjoy a luxury yacht party full of guests and a party bus ride through South Beach that turns into a disaster. Opening up about his character and what to expect from the film, Kevin wrote on his Instagram handle:
"We all know that one old guy that still thinks he has it. Nothing funnier than watching that guy try and keep up with the young guys. 72hrs is that plus more…. He gets invited to a bachelor party and decides to go and hang out. Shit gets real fast! Mark ya Calendars for July 24th on."
Kevin Hart is the lead actor of 72 Hours. He had his first breakthrough in the TV series, Undeclared. He made his film debut with the movie, Paper Soldiers. Later, he appeared in many films including Scary Movie 3, Soul Plane, In the Mix, Little Fockers, Think Like a Man, Grudge Match, Ride Along, About Last Night, Get Hard, Central Intelligence, The Secret Life of Pets film franchise, Ride Along 2, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, the Jumanji film franchise, and Night School.
Alongside Kevin, the Netflix film stars Mason Gooding as 'Mason', Marcello Hernández as 'Nick', Ben Marshall as 'Hunter', Zach Cherry as 'Barry', Kam Patterson as 'Freshman', and Teyana Taylor as 'Jennifer.' Recently, Kam Patterson, who is best known for Saturday Night Live, sat for a candid conversation on The Pivot Podcast. During the conversation, the star opened up about his working experience with actor Kevin Hart. In his words:
"It’s surreal. I mean, I say it all the time, it is just like a blessing to go from somewhere like there. I idolized this guy. Kev was the blueprint for me. Even coming in I watched so much of him. So to be able to work alongside him and in my first movie, nonetheless. I mean, I can’t thank nobody but God and then to be able to like, I pray a lot. I pray often, and I pray for like very specific things. The movie popped up, and being able to watch him work was the best thing for me."
