Actor Nawab Shah Opens Up About His Marriage Plans With 'F.I.R' Fame Actress Kavita Kaushik

It has been quite a long time now that an affair between Don 2 and Dilwale fame actor, Nawab Shah and our very own Chandramukhi Chautala aka Kavita Kaushik is making rounds. And recently, at a press conference of Zee TV’s new show Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma, Nawab Shah confirmed dating Kavita.

Moreover, it has been four to five years that they are seeing each other. Nawab said:

“We are both very private as people. We met five years ago, became friends and started dating. Now, when people asked us we have not denied being in a relationship.”

Opening up about their marriage plans, Nawab Shah, who will be seen in Zee TV’s show Ek Maa Jo Laakhon Ke Liye Bani Amma stated, that they will soon marry when the time is right. Nawab's take on their relationship:

"I am in a very happy space with Kavita for the last four years. We are seeing each other as you all know. Marriage is something that will eventually happen. We will get married four to five years down the line when the time is right. I believe in marriage as an institution. I think it is very important for a man or a woman to have an extension to their life. I think with marriage that happens as you become parents and with kids you take one step ahead in your life.

And this is how Nawab Shah feels about their companionship:

“We are lucky to have found each other to vent out our frustrations. I am wild and she is dominating. We are quite made for each other…”

Interestingly, sometime back, Kavita was found a bit dicey on the institution of marriage. This is what she said:

“I do believe in marriage as an institution. However, with relationships breaking all around us, we have to be very sure before tying the knot. She feels it is better to have a fulfilling relationship without marriage than spoil its beauty post it. We don’t know…we might just get hitched in the future.”

In fact, as per recent reports, Kavita’s parents are not happy with this the relationship. Speculations were that the religion may be the reason as Nawab is a Muslim and Kavita is a Hindu. On this, Nawab cleared that Hindu-Muslim factor is not the reason behind the denial of her parents, it’s the cultural differences that’s restricting them to approve their communion. Nawab said:

"It happens in families because of Hindu Muslim factor. The previous generation still lives in that mindset and are not ready to accept few things. Even my mom feels, I should get married to a Muslim girl. There is nothing wrong in that. It is very sweet, if we take it in that sense. However, if we look at it as a statement then things can get ugly. I think most of us from this generation don't believe in such things. But people from the old generation still live with that and we have to give them that liberty."

If the couple would wait for parent's consent, Nawab said:

"They have shared their conservations but it's not like we are waiting for their approval. In today's time you can't stop anyone from taking their decision. To get married, first Kavita and I need to be sure. The thinking of Hindu-Muslim can't marry each other is there in this society and it's fine. There is no hatred for each other. It's just the cultural and community differences. Nobody is against each other. Our parents believe that when marriage happens it is not a couple, who gets married it is the association between two families."
