Recently, SP Chaudhry Aslam 's wife, Naureen revealed that she is planning to send a legal notice to the makers of 'Dhurandhar' for portraying her husband incorrectly.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and more has been generating a lot of buzz online. The movie that hit the theatres on March 19, 2026, is still ruling everybody’s social media feeds. Amid that, SP Chaudhry Aslam’s wife, Naureen has come forward and demanded a massive amount from Aditya Dhar. It is worth noting that a few weeks ago, Naureen publicly appreciated Sanjay Dutt for his powerful and realistic acting.
Recently, SP Chaudhry Aslam’s real wife, Naureen had a candid conversation with Bhaskar English, during which she revealed that the filmmaker, Aditya Dhar did not take any permission from her. She also claimed that she is upset with her husband's 'incorrect' portrayal. And due to the same, she is all set to send him a legal notice, in which she will be demanding Rs. 25 crore. She also stated that since the movie has earned hundreds of crores at box office, Rs. 25 crore is a small amount for the makers. She was quoted as saying:
"No... our permission was not taken. When the teaser came, we found out that such a film was coming. They have already paid copyright money to the Pakistani artist for the Hawa-Hawa song before the film's release. They paid Rs. 46 lakh for a small song for Chaudhary Aslam's entry. Now I have decided that I will send a notice to Aditya Dhar through an international lawyer in this matter. I am going to demand Rs. 25 crore from them in Pakistani currency. Some things have been shown incorrectly in the story."
For those who do not know, Akshaye Khanna played the role of ‘Rehman Dakait’ in the film, Dhurandhar, whereas Sanjay Dutt portrayed the role of ‘SP Chaudhry Aslam’. The two were rivals in the movie. During the same interview with Bhaskar English, when Naureen was asked if Rehman’s family threatened them, she agreed. It is worth noting that Naureen has four children. In her words:
"Yes... They threatened me some time ago. There are many groups in Karachi. So threats do come. I have four children. All the children are in Pakistan only. Haven't sent anyone abroad. My elder son got married just a short while ago, now he too will join the police force."
A few weeks ago, Naureen spoke about Sanjay Dutt’s role in the blockbuster movie, Dhurandhar and explained that he did full justice to the role. For the unversed, she had appeared on the podcast with Aaj Tak’s Arvind Ojha. Now, during a conversation with Bhaskar English, she again praised the makers and the actor. Naureen shared:
"The character is very good. It suits Sanjay as well. Sanjay Dutt has portrayed my husband Chaudhary Aslam's character very well. But some things have been shown incorrectly in the story. In terms of style, they have copied 95 percent. When Sanjay Dutt sits in Lyari drinking tea, looks up with his eyes in the car... the getup... everything is amazing."
Dhurandhar is one of the most iconic films of 2025 and 2026. For those who have missed the movie, it revolves around an undercover Indian agent, who has been selected by the government to travel to Pakistan and enter one of the deadliest gangs. The main goal of the agent is to finish all the gang members. Talking about the cast, the movie features Ranveer Singh as ‘Hamza’, R. Madhavan as ‘Ajay Sanyal’, Akshaye Khanna as ‘Rehman Dakait’, Sanjay Dutt as ‘Chaudhry Aslam’, Sara Arjun as ‘Yalina’, Arjun Rampal as ‘Major Iqbal’, Rakesh Bedi as ‘Jameel Jamali’ and more.
