The star of Cannes 2024, Nancy Tyagi, expressed her wish to make a saree for Sonam Kapoor and also revealed how her dad reacted to her debut.
Nancy Tyagi has become the talk of the town with her Cannes debut. The diva shone on the red carpet of the Cannes 2024 with her self-made attires, and oh boy, she looked like a princess straight out of a fairy tale novel. Not only fashion lovers but Nancy had even won the hearts of celebrities with her outfit designs, which were made from scratch. Sonam, being in awe of Nancy's look, asked her to create something for her, and now Nancy talked about the same.
In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Nancy Tyagi revealed that she just cannot believe that all of these are actually happening to her and that a big star like Sonam Kapoor had put up a story for her. Sonam tagged Nancy's saree to be the 'best' at Cannes 2024. Showering love upon the actress, Nancy mentioned that she would like to make a different kind of saree with a long pallu for the actress. The influencer added that Sonam's sister, Rhea Kapoor, also commented on her. Talking about her wish to create outfits for both of them, Nancy added:
"Sonam liked my saree outfit, so I would like to make a different kind of saree for her, maybe thoda bada pallaa rakh ke. I feel overwhelmed that all this is happening, just can't believe it. Her sister Rhea also commented on my post, I would love to meet them both someday to create an outfit for them.”

Going forward in the interview, Nancy Tyagi revealed deets about her journey. For the unversed, the influencer hails from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. She stated that she had nothing at her home, but she knew how to stitch clothes and decided to start designing clothes from scratch. Nancy said she has her mom, dad, and brother in her family, and while her mom and brother live in Delhi, her father stays back in the village. Nancy said:
"I had nothing to do at home, but I knew how to stitch, toh socha kapde hi bana lu. I have my brother, mother and father in the family. My mother and brother live with me in Delhi, but papa gaon mai hi rehte hain."
Speaking along the same lines, Nancy Tyagi revealed that initially, her dad didn't support her work, but eventually, he started supporting her, which is why she is stress-free. Talking about her father's reaction to her growing popularity after attending Cannes, Nancy revealed that her father understood that people can achieve success even by making videos. Nancy can be quoted as saying:
"Initially, my dad didn’t support my work at all, but now he does, so now I feel stress free. Things have changed a lot after my popularity on social media. And after Cannes, papa ne yeh realise kiya ki videos bana kar bhi insaan bada ban sakta hai."
In the same interview, Nancy Tyagi talked about her experience of walking the red carpet of Cannes 2024. The influencer added that she had met several other influencers and actors there, and she couldn't believe that she would watch the Hollywood stars with her own eyes. The fashion influencer also added that she hails from a small city and she never actually thought that she could reach such a level at such a young age.

Nancy Tyagi sent everyone into a frenzy and spread Disney princess vibes with her outfits at the Cannes 2024. For Day 1, she donned a tulle gown, which took her one month to prepare. And on Day 2, she donned a self-made sequinned saree with a headcover and a long pallu.
