A while ago, 'Today' show co-host, Savannah Guthrie, shared a video on her social media, offering up to USD 1 million for information which can bring her mom, Nancy Guthrie back home.
It has been days since Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today show co-host, Savannah Guthrie, has been missing. For the unversed, she first disappeared from her Tucson home in Arizona at the beginning of the year, on January 31, 2026. While the investigation into finding the 84-year-old is in full swing, authorities have yet to locate Nancy as well as the person who has reportedly kidnapped her. With time of the utmost essence, Savannah Guthrie is doing what she can from her side. On Tuesday, 24 February 2026, she announced a USD 1 million reward for the recovery of her mother.
With intense public and media attention on Nancy Guthrie's missing case, not only in the US but around the world, the authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to find her. However, while their efforts continue, in the blink of an eye, it has already been nearly a month since Savannah Guthrie's mom has gone missing. Now, in hopes of finding her mother sooner, Savannah Guthrie and her family are reportedly offering an additional reward of up to USD 1 million for any helpful information which will successfully lead them to locate Nancy.
In a recent Instagram video, Savannah can be seen welling up before making the announcement. Fighting back her tears, the Today co-host shared with her followers that she hopes her mother, Nancy, will soon be found. She also acknowledged the fact that Nancy “may be lost.” Savannah can be heard saying:
“Hi there. I’m coming on to say it is day 24 since our mom was taken in the dark of night from her bed, and every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony since then of worrying about her and fearing about her, aching for her, and most of all just missing her. She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in Heaven with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce and with our daddy.”
Savannah Guthrie added that she and her family are fully aware of how much everyone has been praying for her. She claimed that even those with “no faith” prayed for them and that they “feel those prayers.” Savannah urged her followers to continue praying like this without stopping, as she and her family still believe in and hope for a miracle that will return Nancy Guthrie to them. She stated:
“Please keep praying without ceasing. We still believe. We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home…We are blowing on the embers of hope.”
According to a report by Hindustan Times, the video was also aired during the Tuesday, February 24, 2026, episode of the Today show. And, as you might already guess, it saw some strong reaction from Savannah’s colleagues. For one, Craig Melvin started by noting that their beloved friend and colleague had just posted the video on social media, and that she and her family are now offering a “million-dollar reward for any information that leads to the return of Nancy Guthrie.”
Following this, Hoda Kotb, who has taken Savannah's place temporarily on the Today show, thinks living in this uncertainty is “agonising” and urged viewers to come forward with any information that they can provide “because somebody does know something.”
