Do you know Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's home doesn't have air conditioners? The house's temperature is maintained by a unique method.
Mukesh Ambani is one of the richest business tycoons in Asia. Despite their immense wealth, Mukesh is loved and respected for his humbleness. Over the years, he has nurtured his paradise with his wife, Nita Ambani, and their kids, Isha, Akash, and Anant. The billionaire businessman resides in Antilia, one of the most expensive properties in the world. But do you know his USD 4.6 billion worth home has no AC?
Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s lavish abode, Antilia, is designed by Chicago-based architects Perkins and Will, and an Australia-based construction company, Leighton Holdings. Packed with all the amenities, Antilia is stated to be the world's second most expensive property after London’s prestigious Buckingham Palace.
The house, which boasts unique technologies, doesn’t have a traditional air conditioning system with visible outdoor compressors. Rather, it uses a unique system to keep the abode cool. According to reports, 'Antilia' has centralised, eco-conscious cooling system. The centrally managed cooling system adjusts the temperature accordingly.
Unlike other air conditioners, Antilia doesn’t have the typical AC units with metal compressors. Rather, the cooling system of Antilia is controlled with a centralised system, considering the various elements of the house. The temperature is adjusted automatically, aligning with the house’s interior materials. According to reports, the mansion needs to be kept at a specific temperature in order to maintain the quality and aesthetics of the marble and flowers. Do you know if Antilia’s AC auto-adjusts for different locations inside the house?
During her appearance on The Love Laugh Live Show, actress, Shreya Dhanwanthary revealed that a few years back, she graced the designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s book launch event. It was during that time that she got a chance to visit the palatial abode of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani.
Recalling her visit to the billionaire’s abode, Antilia, Shreya revealed a surprising incident that she had experienced. Shreya revealed that every floor in Mukesh Ambani's house had a floor manager. As she was feeling very cold, she asked the floor manager to increase the AC temperature. But she was told that the air conditioning couldn’t be turned down because of the flowers and marble. Elaborating on the same, the actress said:
“To put it gently, I wasn’t dressed very well. They have floor managers, so we went up to the floor manager and asked, ‘Can we please raise the temperature a little?’ This is what she says: ‘Ma’am, we are very sorry but the flowers and the marble need the temperature to be a certain number.’ And I am like, ‘Oh, okay then,’ and I walk back. This doesn’t bother me in the sense that I find it fascinating when I meet people that say and do things and live a certain way that I can’t imagine.”
The Ambanis are known for their luxurious lifestyle, and so is their home, Antilia, which is the perfect example of a dream home. It was in 2010 that the family moved to Antilia, a unique mansion constructed over 4 lakh square feet, standing 568 feet tall. The house was named after the phantom island in the Atlantic Ocean, Antilia. Not just the vast landscape, Antilia also boasts every amenity one could think of, including three helipads, multi-story car parking, nine high-speed elevators, and special suits for the staff, among others.
