MTV VMA 2025: Steven, Joe, YUNGBLUD Pay Their Respect To Ozzy Osbourne, Sang 'Mama, I'm Coming Home'

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were joined by YUNGBLUD as they paid their respect to the late Black Sabbath legend, Ozzy Osbourne, during the MTV VMA 2025.

MTV Video Music Awards took place on September 7, 2025. The star-studded evening saw the presence of several musical geniuses. However, what really caught everyone's attention was Aerosmith stars, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry's tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. The Black Sabbath founder, who passed away in July 2025, was honoured with a touching tribute by the duo, who were also joined by YUNGBLUD.

MTV VMA 2025 was lit with several mega performances. However, the atmosphere at the UBS Arena in New York changed with YUNGBLUD singing, as the audience sang along to Crazy Train. The dark stage slowly lit up, and Steven Tyler and Joe Perry appeared on stage. The legendary duo performed Changes, followed by a walk where the three of them sang, Mama, I'm coming home, as a tribute to the dearly departed Ozzy. The performance garnered immense love from those present at the Arena.

Soon after the performance, the video went viral on social media, leaving viewers spellbound by the performance in memory of Ozzy Osbourne. Hundreds of reactions followed on social media, and viewers also joined in to pay tribute to the late musician. A user penned, "The Ozzy tribute at the #VMA was good. Steven Tyler sounded good, which was a huge plus. Also live music...a concept that could take off on MTV." Another wrote, "VMAs just did a great tribute to Ozzy just now. Youngblud was great. And Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are two of my most favourite people ever to walk the earth, man."

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025

The legendary Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy Osbourne, passed away on July 22, 2025, in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The English singer and songwriter had recently performed his last act on his black throne of death before retiring a few weeks ago. However, little did the world know that it would be the last time we would get to see Ozzy. Known for his edgy persona and big heart, the band member had been a heart of heavy metal for a long time, but his battle with Parkinson's made it extremely difficult for him to continue his career.
