In a throwback interview, Mrunal Thakur revealed why her ex-boyfriend ran away while they were dating.
Mrunal Thakur is grabbing the limelight after rumours of her alleged marriage to Tamil sensation Dhanush surfaced. For those who do not know, a few days ago, multiple reports claimed that Dhanush and Mrunal will be getting married on February 14, 2026. It is worth noting that the duo has been garnering attention for their alleged romance over the past few months. However, neither the actress, nor Dhanush has reacted to the rumours.
There has been constant chatter around Mrunal Thakur’s personal life. The actress, in her previous interviews have revealed being heartbroken multiple times. In an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Mrunal recalled her ex-boyfriend running away. The actress revealed that she was glad the relationship didn’t work out because they were two different people whose thoughts didn’t align.
Going further in her interaction, Mrunal revealed that her ex-boyfriend was very orthodox and couldn’t accept that she was an actress. Speaking about the same, she said:
“He ran away. He was like, ‘You are too impulsive, I can’t deal with this’, ‘You’re an actress, I can’t deal with this.’ But I understand where he is coming from - a very orthodox background. And I don’t blame him, I think it’s his upbringing. In a way, it’s good that the chapter ended. Because in the future, when we raise our kids, his upbringing would not be the same as my upbringing towards my kids… The kids would be like, ‘Uh, kya ho raha hai.”
For the past few days, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding Mrunal Thakur and Dhanush’s wedding. The date of their wedding was mentioned by an anonymous source, and the two stars have not yet reacted to it. For those who do not know, Mrunal and Dhanush first sparked dating buzz during the screening of Son of Sardaar 2. Reports had claimed that Dhanush had attended the screening only for Mrunal.
Mrunal has been subjected to many linkups. During the beginning of her career in the entertainment industry, the actress was rumoured to be in a serious relationship with writer Sharad Tripathi. She was also reported to be dating her Kumkum Bhagya co-star Arjit Taneja after the two were frequently spotted together off-set.
In 2018, speculations about Mrunal Thakur and actor, Kushal Tandon began. He was also linked to rapper Badshah, Bollywood actor, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Telugu actor Sumanth. Mrunal never reacted to the rumours about her dating life and let her work do the talking for her.
