The actress has been asking for privacy and does not like oversharing. Well, amid her latest divorce from Suraj, Mouni mustered the courage to speak about hurt, betrayal, and disappointments. She revealed how, at some point in life, everyone has to be disappointed with certain people.
There has been a range of speculation about the divorce of Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar. Both of them had mutually decided for the same and asked for privacy. Now, amid the speculation, Mouni spoke about how she is dealing with betrayal and heartbreak. The actress in an interview with the Free Press Journal revealed that when she was younger, she had issues forgetting the past. However, age and spiritual growth have kind of changed her approach to look at hurt. Mouni Roy shared:
"When I was much younger, I would forgive very easily and till date, I do but I wasn't able to forget. Now, I think with my own personal and spiritual journey, I feel like you just have to forgive, God makes you forget."
Mouni Roy is not someone who believes in revenge-worthy dramas. Well, some of them are doing revenge, the actress is someone who believes in leaving things to the universe. Mouni Roy further stated that meditation, chanting, and many spiritual practices have helped her find peace over time. Mouni further revealed that not everyone in life deserves a free pass. She revealed that some evil people will go out of their way to hurt others. The person may not be evil, but may have evil qualities. They are known to cause pain and negativity. Mouni revealed that she is not someone who believes in holding on to resentments and compared the situation to holding a hot coal in the hand. In her words:
"If you don’t let it go, you will be the one who will be hurting the most. And sometimes the other person who hurt you is not even thinking about it, no matter how big a hurt they have caused you."
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar had earlier shared a joint statement related to their divorce, noting with dismay the unnecessary and intrusive attention to their personal lives. Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar revealed that certain quarters of the media were interested in whether they were together. The former pair revealed that they are parting ways amicably and that they are focused on their private lives. The statement read:
"We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably. Attempts have been made to sensationalise our private lives by the circulation of fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods, which do not reflect the reality of our relationship. After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding."
The statement further read on how at this point, both Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar are focused on navigating this phase thoughtfully and privately. It also spoke about both will endeavour to cherish their friendship in times to come. Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar thanked everyone in the statement for appreciating their understanding, respecting privacy and continued support during this time.
