Recently, Mona Singh opened up about her role in the upcoming film, 'Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos' on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 17'.
The latest episode of Amitabh Bachchan's reality show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 has been grabbing a lot of attention. For the unversed, the cast of the film, Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jassos including Mona Singh, Vir Das, Mithila Palkar and more appeared on the show to promote their film. During the same, Mona Singh opened up about her character in the upcoming film.
During her appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati, actress, Mona Singh opened up about her character in Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jassos. She revealed that in the film she will be playing the role of a villain for the first time. She shared that her character in the film has around 100 tattoos. Mona Singh was quoted as saying:
"Zindagi me kabhi villain banne ka mauka hi nai mila, ye pehli baar hua that Vir gave me this opportunity and I don't know what he saw in me but 100 tattoos lagakar mera look bhi ekdum mind blowing hai."
During the same episode on Amitabh Bachchan’s reality show, Mona Singh also opened up about giving more than 50 auditions for Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. She talked about her struggle period on the show, and revealed how difficult it was for her. She also explained how she used to take a bus everyday from Pune to Mumbai. In her words:
"I found out that Deeya and Tony (producers) were working on a project and auditions were underway, so I went for it. I cleared the first round, and then they kept calling me back for the third, fourth, and fifth rounds. In total, I ended up giving around 50 auditions. At one point, I asked the makers if they were even planning to cast me, as I was spending so much on auditions. They then told me it was a big show and that I had been finalised."
Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos is an upcoming Hindi comedy film. The film marks the directorial debut of Vir Das, who will also play an important role in the film. For those who do not know, the film is produced by Aamir Khan Productions. It stars Vir Das, Mona Singh, Mithila Palkar, Sharib Hashmi, Aamir Khan and more. It is worth mentioning that this film marks the comeback of Bollywood actor, Imran Khan. The film will be released on January 16, 2026.
