Mira Rajput Kapoor To Make Her On-Screen Debut With Shahid Kapoor As Nach Baliye 9 Judge? [Details]

Apart from the saas-bahu sagas, Indian television also has become the den of reality TV shows. The reality shows have become a perfect source of entertainment for the audience. And dance reality show, Nach Baliye is one of them! Every year we eagerly wait for the makers to announce the next season, the names of the celeb couples who will be participating and the judges. A few days ago, a SpotboyE report had stated that either estranged couple, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan or lovebirds, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor will be seen as judges on the show. Now according to a report in DBPost, the makers have decided who will be a part of the celebrity judges’ panel. Mira is apparently all set to make her small screen debut with her husband, Shahid as a Nach Baliye 9 judge.

The report states, “Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput were the first choice of the makers for the celebrity judges’ panel; however the couple was not sure about their presence since it’s all about Mira’s debut in the industry. But finally, after giving a long thought; they have finally given their nod. However, they haven’t signed the documents yet. The creative team will be meeting with the couple in a day or two to discuss the entire format and production work.”

Reports also suggest that Indian Idol judge, Neha Kakkar has also been finalised to be one of the judges of the show. In an earlier interview with Dainik Bhaskar, though Neha did not mention the show’s name but gave a little hint about it and was quoted as saying, “Very soon, the audience will see me judging another reality show but this time it’s not going to be different. I am going to explore the other side of my personality. I love dancing too.”

According to a report in Amar Ujjala, the Nach Baliye makers were interested to rope in ex-couple, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan. As per the reports earlier, the format of the season 9 was said to be an amalgamation of celebrities pairing up with their ex-girlfriends and boyfriends instead of their current partner. Which made it understandable why the makers would want Malaika and Arbaaz on board. Nach Baliye season 9 will be hosted by Sunil Grover and Jennifer Winget. A source had revealed about Jennifer being the host, “Jennifer is charming and versatile, and she loves dancing. She was ranked 14th in a poll conducted by a magazine on the top TV personalities of 2018. Getting her on board will certainly increase the glamour quotient of the show. The male host is yet to be finalised, but leading names across TV and films have been approached to host alongside Jennifer.”

Celeb couples including Rubina Dilaik-Abhinav Shukla, Drashti Dhami-Niraj Khemka, Somi Khan-Deepak Thakur, Anita Hassanandani-Rohit Reddy, Rohan Mehra-Kanchi Singh, Siddharth Nigam-Avneet Kaur, Varun Sood-Divya Agarwal, Sumedh Mudgalkar-Mallika Singh, Sana Khan-Melvin Louis, are some names that have come forward in the participants' list.

Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal were also approached for the show, but due to other commitments, they turned down the offer. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 Komolika, Hina had shared, “Yes, we are approached for Nach Baliye. However, we won’t be able to participate, as we both have packed schedules. I am busy with Kasautii Zindagii Kay and the movie schedule lined-up, while Rocky will soon fly to London for his next feature film.”
