Pearl V Puri has been leading headlines these days for the alleged rape and molestation case filed against him. He was arrested by the Waliv police on June 4, 2021, under Section 376 of the IPC & POCSO Act. Another shocking detail about the incident was that the minor’s mother was named co-accused in the case. After Pearl’s bail, the minor’s mother, Ekta Sharma, whose name was revealed by Divya Khosla Kumar has been granted interim relief by the court.

For the unversed, after being in judicial custody for 11 days, Pearl was granted bail by the Vasai court on June 15, 2021. In a conversation with SpotboyE, Pearl’s lawyer, Jitesh Agarwal had confirmed the news and had said, "Yes, he has been granted bail by the Vasai Sessions Court."
According to reports, Minor’s mother was also named as the co-accused in the case and now has been given interim relief. According to a report in ETimes, when the lawyer of the minor’s mother, Swapna Kode was contacted, she revealed the same. She mentioned that in the report, her client was accused in the POSCO case and thus she had approached the court. The lawyer said, “My client has been granted interim relief by the Hon’ble Sessions Court till 2/7. My client has been made an accused in the Pocso case and hence she has approached the court.''
The lawyer further added that the minor’s mother was forced to move to the court after she was made an accused in the case. She added, “My client was forced to move the court as she was informed that she has been made an accused and the reason given was she did not inform anyone despite knowing about the incident so she had no option but to move for anticipatory bail and the matter has been posted for July 2.''
The minor’s mother, Ekta Sharma took to her IG handle and confirmed the reports of being named as co-accused in the alleged rape case. She shared in her post, “I want to make it clear once again, that I have not complained against anyone. And I am also the co-accused in this POCSO case. Justice will prevail.”

The actress and the accused also shared a post on her IG stories, thanking everyone for asking about her well-being. She wrote, “Thank you everyone for calling me and asking me how I am? Shattered but have full faith in god and Our judiciary system, thank u to my mom and everyone, my friends who have been with me during this time.”
On June 8, 2021, the minor’s mother and actress, Ekta Sharma had taken to her IG handle and had shared that people should not take her silence as a sign of her weakness. She had also mentioned that she has faith in the judiciary and justice will prevail. The actress had also shared her disappointment on how people had revealed her and her daughter’s identity.
