Recently, an insider named Richard Johnson revealed that in 2021, Mike allegedly proposed to Dianna at a club. The duo has been facing extreme backlash for allegedly cheating on their respective partners. Amid this, Patriots legend, Asante Samuel defended Mike and described him as a faithful man.

Now, Patriots legend, Asante Samuel came to Mike’s defence. On May 8, 2026, Asante Samuel took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and shared a short yet meaningful note for Mike. He described the New England Patriots head coach as a 'faithful man.' He also urged people to move on from the Dianna Russini affair drama. His note can be read as:
"Vrabel is a faithful man. Whatever happened in the past is the past, as of today he is a faithful man. Move on."
With every passing day, the drama involving Dianna and Mike is taking a new turn. Recently, an insider named Richard Johnson came forward and shared an unheard facet related to the former NFL insider and the New England Patriots head coach. He took to his X handle and revealed that in 2021, Mike reportedly proposed to Dianna at a popular nightclub. For the uninitiated, Dianna tied the knot with Kevin Goldschmidt on September 26, 2020. Richard mentioned that before Dianna could respond to Mike’s proposal, security forcibly removed the duo. Richard wrote:
"NEW: Mike Vrabel reportedly proposed to Dianna Russini at a popular nightclub called 'E11EVEN MIAMI' in 2021, but was forcibly removed from the club by security before Russini could respond. They went on a long-term break after that night, but ended up rekindling their relationship after this past NFL season."
For those unaware, on April 14, 2026, Dianna Russini put down her papers at The Athletic. In her resignation, Dianna mentioned that she believed her decision to step down was the right choice for her, her family and her career at this moment. While people have been questioning her credibility, Dianna added in her resignation letter that she covered the NFL with utmost dedication and professionalism.
Now that she is away from her work, Dianna is fully focusing on her family. The former NFL insider is spending family time at her home in Bergen County, New Jersey. She is busy doing her mommy duties at the moment. A few days back, a source close to Dianna shared what is happening around her. The source was quoted as saying:
"It has been a very intense situation that she is still trying to figure out and feel out. She's neither here nor there right now as the dust hasn't settled one bit. One thing she is mainly focusing on is being a mom and protecting her kids through all of this madness."
