His marriage to Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley only lasted for 20 months. Now, the late pop icon’s former maid threw light of their failed marriage.
Everyone is aware that dozens of children visited Michael at the sprawling California estate, Neverland as he enjoyed the company of kids. The music superstar’s former personal maid Adrian McManus recently revealed that his attention towards the kids visiting him affected his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.
McManus revealed that MJ’s marriage with Lisa was a ‘fraud’ as he rarely paid attention to her. On the other hand, Lisa was hopelessly in love with Michael and she thought that he would be a great stepdad to her children. Speaking to Mirror US, McManus revealed that Lisa doted on Michael but it was only one-sided as Michael connected with the kids visiting him over Lisa. Speaking about the same, McManus said:
“I think after she married him, she realized he preferred the company of boys and that's one of the reasons why she left him.”
In the same conversation, McManus revealed that she never saw Michael and Lisa spend a whole night in his personal chambers. She further revealed that there was no intimacy between Lisa and Michael as she never saw the two kissing. As per her they only held hands as they walked around the ground or in front of the media.
McManus also revealed that there was no room for a woman in Michael’s life except his mother Katherine. Revealing how Lisa was heartbroken, McManus stated:
“Michael always connected more with the kids visiting than her. I think she pinned her hopes on Michael being the one. It must have been heartbreaking for her to realize that Michael's world of boys and medicines was his priority.”
When Michael was married to Lisa, he wanted to adopt a child from Bucharest, Romania but those plans fell down. After MJ and Lisa parted ways, he had an affair with Debbie Rowe, who was an assistant to his dermatologist, Arnold Klein. After his divorce from Lisa Marie Presley, Michael was worried about embracing fatherhood.
He was desperate for kids, and it was at that time that Debbie offered to carry his future kids. The couple welcomed two kids, Prince in 1997 and Paris in 1998. Though legally, Michael and Debbie were Prince and Paris’s parents, but not biologically.
In an interview with an Irish publication, Debbie Rowe shared that Paris and Prince were not Michael’s biological kids. She stated that both the children were conceived using semen from a sperm bank. According to Debbie, her union with Michael was never romantic, and she called it a specific arrangement centred on his single goal of becoming a father.
She has explained that she was artificially inseminated as she never had sex with Michael or lived with him. In 2002, Michael welcomed his younger son, Prince Michael Jackson II, also known as Blanket, via surrogacy. So, Michael Jackson has no kids of his own.
