Rashmika Mandanna, the pan-India actress, is currently hogging a lot of attention because of her much-awaited wedding with longtime boyfriend, Vijay Deverakonda. For the unversed, the couple met on the sets of Geetha Govindam and soon started dating. A few days ago, the two confirmed their wedding and called it the marriage of ‘VIROSH’.
Now that the two have reached Udaipur and their pre-wedding festivities have begun, the attention has shifted towards Rashmika and Vijay’s family. Talking about Rashmika’s parents, they live a private life, away from media attention. Apart from them, The Girlfriend actress also has a sister, who is 16 years younger than her. According to a report by News 24, Rashmika Mandanna’s younger sister, Shiman Mandanna is 14-years-old. It is worth mentioning that the actress shares a huge age gap with her younger sister. If reports are to be believed, Rashmika is 29 years old. Coming to her younger sister, there is not much information available about her education and teenage life. However, in a 2025 interview, Rashmika Mandanna had explained how she is unable to meet her little sister because of her acting career.
Over the years, Rashmika Mandanna has often spoken fondly about her younger sister, Shiman. In multiple interviews, the actress has mentioned that due to the huge age gap, she considered Shiman as her own daughter. During a 2025 interview with Nod magazine, Rashmika had explained that she often cries to meet her younger sister. She stated due to her hectic acting career, she sometimes finds it difficult to spend time with Shiman. Rashmika Mandanna was quoted as saying:
"I cry on my days off. I have a sister who is 16 years younger than me. She’s almost 13 now. I haven’t been able to see her grow up in the last eight years. She’s almost my height now, but I haven’t been able to see her journey."
For those who do not know, in April 2024, Rashmika Mandanna had taken to her Instagram handle to pen an emotional note for her sister. In her note, she called Shiman ‘my doll’ and wished that her younger sister would grow up to be a beautiful woman, who everyone will look up to and respect. A part of her note can be read as:
"Dear lil sister, I love you. I hope you grow up to be a beautiful woman, a woman who everyone looks up to and respects and I hope in the process you don’t have to fight too many battles in life and I promise you- I will try and protect you as much as I possibly can but there will be so many things that you will have to go through by yourself and at that time I hope the universe goes a little easier on you.."
In an earlier interview, Rashmika Mandanna had revealed that her parents had decided to keep Shiman Mandanna away from the media spotlight. She had explained that her parents want a normal childhood for their younger daughter. Reportedly, they do not want Shiman’s upbringing to be affected by Rashmika’s popularity in any way. If reports are to be believed, Rashmika had once shared that if Shiman grows in a normal environment, it will help her become a good human.
Coming to Rashmika Mandanna’s parents, her father, Madan Mandanna. According to a report by News 24, Rashmika’s father owns a coffee estate and a function hall in their hometown. On the other hand, Rashmika’s mother, Suman Mandanna is a homemaker. Over the years, the Dear Comrade actress has often revealed that her mother was her biggest support system when she decided to pursue acting as a career.
It is worth mentioning that Rashmika’s parents have stayed away from the media limelight. They have rarely been spotted by the paparazzi. However, in January 2026, Rashmika had shared a wholesome video on her Instagram handle, in which she can be seen rushing to hug her mother. Further, Rashmika’s mother sweetly kisses her forehead. However, the actress had soon deleted the video, leaving her fans confused.
A few days ago, multiple reports claimed that Rashmika Mandanna’s parents and her little sister had arrived in Udaipur for the wedding of their daughter and actor, Vijay Deverakonda. It is worth mentioning there are no videos of the three reaching the wedding location. Coming to Rashmika and Vijay’ wedding, reportedly the ceremony will be held in Udaipur’s ITC Memontos.
If reports are to be believed, the pre-wedding festivities have already begun. The sangeet was held on the evening of February 24, 2026. The much-in-love couple will reportedly exchange vows on February 26, 2026. It is worth mentioning that Rashmika and Vijay have planned a grand reception in Hyderabad on March 4, 2026.
